    Indeed.

    One day I’ll get a full squish, like a trek ticket. But a chromoly beater is almost a lifelong friend

    Needs fine tuning and adjustments, but off the stand for now. Needs more cages and stainless growlers but not bad. First fat bike and cargo bike combined, and what a shit show it has been lol. Introduced a new standard with the DUB crank/BB.

    I’m not from there but have friends who live there. I’ve ridden there, Sisters, Oakridge but not Mackenzie. It’s probably not Rockies quality but the season is longer ... my friends who are more road riders, say you can ride year around. By my standards it would be too cold :)

    Marshall is a great spot. I try to hit that at least once a week.

    Head west young man! While RPR is cool and you need to make it down there for sure, there are much closer options for everyday riding. I'm guessing you watch the DORBA site and know of the trails listed there..? I live further southwest of Fort Worth and we have some great stuff (IMHO) in Cleburne Sate Park, Solovaca Ranch and my fav. Dinosaur Valley State Park. These rides are much rockier and have plenty of challenging sections to keep the skilled and in-shape entertained! Dinosaur Valley is very scenic and has a very remote / backcountry feel to it which is why I love it. -I'm constantly surprised how many new trails keep popping up in our area! I've got to check some newer ones out myself!

    Give me a few days notice of when you would like to come down and Ill make sure I am available. I ride a Santa Cruz Hightower with the 27.5+ set up. I currently have a Yakima hold up that I put in the trailer hitch, but I plan on doing a fork mount in the bed of the truck. Something about using a bike rack when you have an empty bed just bothers me.

    Last year, according to strava, I rode over 1600 mile and over 170 hours. I plan on trying to improve that by at least 10% this year. Anytime you want to ride, Ill go. we just have to let our mud dry out.

    Texplex closed. Look up the trail on facebook, if you have it. Its under Hachie MTB Riders. Its fun but nothing very technical. 12ish miles with about 150 feet of climbing. Its similar to River Legacy

    Thanks, I'll have my wife check it out on her F.B.. I plan on checking out some newer trails (as you said when/if the mud dries out) that are around here.
    First on my list is out at Possum Kingdom ( not exactly new any more), then Quanah Hills at Weatherford Lake. I heard there are some trails in Burleson, but I'm pretty sure they are old dirt bike trails that we used to ride 20 years ago. You ever bring that Santa Cruz out to Dino Valley? Oh and then there's this one;

    Possum Kingdom was a blast. We rode out there July 4th. I have yet to ride Quanah Hill, but really want to go. The trail in Burleson, also known as Chisenhall, is pretty fun, but short. They added a new loop to it and its fun, but you better have tubeless tires when you ride. Many Thorns!!! I have ridden at Solovaca and that was pretty fun. The plus tires soak up the rocks. Its was great and I would like to go back soon. We were going to go to the DORBA campout, but it was so wet, the trails were closed.

    Where is the trail head to the Chisenhall trail? Is it where the ball field complex is? Come ride Dino Valley if you haven't yet...

    If I lived in more of a small mountain town like Park City, I'd rock the shit out of a bike like that. But in SLC, it would be stolen in broad daylight in like 30 seconds in front of a brewery.

    It is behind the ball fields. At the back of the parking lot there is a bridge that crosses the creek. When you cross the creek, the trail begins to the right.
