    I know I'm I'm in the same exact situation.. sadly you can't be a performance car guy out here without strict rules and regulations, so I keep things as close to stock and If I mod the exhaust, it is after the cats and make most of the other engine mods either easily reversible or internal.

    Wonder if there’s any point to me getting one of those. Everything forward of the supercharger is legal but everything behind it is illegal. My headers would technically be legal since they keep the cats but the company didn’t see a need to get carb certification and charge an extra $500 on top.

    I almost failed my CA smog inspection last year because the TRD headers I have (CARB legal) have a serial # that states they are for an 03 Tacoma and not an 04, even though they are the exact same truck. Smog guy told me he'd 'let me slide' because everything else was golden....even though he completely missed the 7th injector setup which is completely illegal in CA.

    House in Durango at 7k. Haven’t ever taken my Tacoma there. Have about 18” of snow on the ground.
