I'm currently running the 87 - 1.05 tune on 91 octane.

 

any reason you're not running the 91 tune?

I'm in a "transition" period. I had 87 when I downloaded the 1.05 tune so flashed the 87 version. Shortly after when the tank got low, I filled with 91 and am waiting to use that up (and any residual 87 that may have been left in the tank). After this tank goes empty, I'll fill again with 91 and try the 91-1.05 version. I've read some people talking about improved mpg's on 91. Here in Phoenix it's about a $0.75 difference between 91 and 87 which, for me and my driving, amounts to about $750 / year. I'm hoping I'll see improved mpg's to help mitigate this increase in cost otherwise, I'll be back to 87 - 1.05 with 87 octane in the tank.

 

I have the dongle. Will it work with a MacBook now?

 

Not in OSX. You'll need to run a Windows installation using Bootcamp or Parallels.

Yeah that's a big jump for premium. I've run it long before the tune because the truck
seems to like the higher octane so I never went back to 87. All previous tunes I ran 93 as
well ( the places I get gas don't have 91 - 87, 89 or 93 here). Now, I'm on 1.05/93, only 1/2
a tank in at this point but zero issues.

 

Not a complaint, just feedback. 04b03 dongle 1.05 tune. Settled in nicely. Shifting has corrected, power is great. Hot idle is back to being rough like it was on 1.03. No issues, just not like it was when I first loaded it. Not sure if that's helpful or not. Thanks for your continued hard work mat.

 

how long were you on 1.03?

 

Any word on the 19 MTs? Should I take my laptop with me on my trip this weekend? I got the tactrix and the laptop standing by.... tank filled with 91.....

Let me know if it doesn’t work, this is the first video I’ve put on TW.

Now imagine this happening in drive. The rpms flare from around 600-1400rpms it almost had me 1. Hit my driveway gate 2. Pull out of my driveway into the street 3. Hit a car in a parking garage.

 

Please flash back to stock or previous tune version, I am already looking into the issue and will have a fix available as soon as possible.

 

That's what mine did this morning in drive.

 

Different people, different experiences.

My idle problems went away going from 1.04 to 1.05. My 1.04 cold start fast idle made driving a bit jerky for the first few minutes. I had never noticed 1.03 or 1.04 settling over time, but 1.05 one week in is quite a bit different than right after the flash.

 

I don't have the OV Tune, but my updated TSB tune does something similar, though maybe not quite that bad. Idle stability is terrible.
