I am looking at a 4 seater utility style so I can use it for working around our house/lease

 

I avoided buying as much as I could, by renting, sharing, scanning, finding pdfs, etc. That textbook shit is a scam.

Those look identical to the ones I got from GG Lighting. I think I got F'd... It wasn't much more, but a little more than that.

 

I think GG has a lifetime warranty and they’ll mail you replacements. Amazon will prob tell him to kick rocks.

 

Thinking back, they had little barrel waterproof connectors on the lights and I emailed them to ask if they sold the male side. They were cool as hell and gave them to me for free and I just paid the shipping. I can probably call that a wash and +1 for them.

Quick question, what's the name of the main harness where are you clip on your O2 sensors to?

Took a 7k mile roadtrip and I pulled the clip off the main harness and now you see bare wire and the o2sensor with 2 clips and I honestly don't know how to fix that unless I replace main harness.

 

Those O2 sensor wires would go all the way to the ECU from the sensor. Your best bet is to resplice the broken wires and heat shrink the bare wire or buy a new electrical connector from Toyota and splice it in if your connector is destroyed. You can buy bare connectors and ones with pins and wire. You'd want the loaded one. Post a picture of the damage if possible

 

You can also buy connectors with leads already terminated, just have to splice/connect the new leads to existing wire. Ive had to do this with ignition wiring.

Pics of the damage would certainly help

Missing a little info/pics here, but the exposed pins look like they could be inserted into a new plastic housing male connector if you could find the number. Are those exposed pins on the O2 sensor side and the ripped wires are on the truck harness? You should be able to find the harness side female connector from Toyota. The sensor side may be available from Toyota, but could also only come with a new sensor. Here's a link to the Toyota Wiring Harness Repair Manual (https://www.toyota-tech.eu/wire_harness_rm/RM06H0E.pdf ). There's most of the connector part numbers listed in there. You might have to look at another 3rd gen to figure out which connector you need to get since yours is missing.

 

Yeah TOYOTA can fix you up. The first 5 digits of the plastic connector housing will be 90980. The wires with pins if needed are 82998. A good parts guy can look these up for you. Toyota has listings on all replacement connectors for this very issue.

 

So it’s a known issue then?

 

I googled Tacoma O2 sensor plug and found the following photo, but not sure if it's what yours was.

If that is accurate, the male side would be Part Number 90980-11027. You'd just buy the plastic connector and reinsert the male pins on the O2 Sensor into the new plug. The female side, you'd need Part Number 90980-11028. This would also be an empty connector, so you need to order 4 of the female pins.

$10 82998-12440 Genuine Toyota Parts - Terminal, Repair W/W (82998-12440)

82998-12440 for pin with 160mm wire or 82998-12590 for 500mm of wire.

Even if these weren't the same connectors from the factory, you could use these parts to fix it. But, you might run into an issue down the road if you go to replace the O2 sensor and the plug is different.
