I always found it strange how Europeans hate anything cold. Their "air conditioning" is laughable, chilled water is unheard of, ice in drinks is completely foreign, etc.

When I was in Amsterdam, our tour guide was like "I know you Americans are used to your Arctic-level air conditioning, but here it's not called air conditioning. It's called air movement machines because that's all it does."

yeah when my family and I did a super-American touristy family trip to England and France many years ago, we always asked for ice in our water and they would look at us like we were crazy

Buying food is hard, on the one hand I know I like the whole grain waffles, but on the other hand I like the normal waffles more.

Also the worst fish and chips I've ever had was in some rural English country side village. The fish had tons of bones in it still

No it's not. Unless it's a dedicated splurge item, you always buy the true healthy option. Available in whole wheat? You bet your nutz I'm on it. Available without shitty ingredients? On it.

True true and Europe has a very varied climate. I get that the up north Scandinavian countries wouldn't. I guess I was thinking more like Spain, Italy, France, etc. But yeah makes sense

Yeah, it would be a little warmer in those areas, but their proximity to the coast and mountains also helps a lot.

I was in the UK this summer during their freak heat wave and people were losing it over 80 degree weather in London. Living in Houston with 100deg days and humidity had prepared me well lmao

Gets humid AF over there though at least in England when we were there...was miserably humid. Then again I'm from the southwest where we don't hardly get any so I'm a pansy when it comes to humidity.
