    '99 extended cab Tacoma 4x4 converted Prerunner
    Checked the torque on everything related to the drive shaft, everything appeared to be good. Couldn’t get to all the bolts attaching the differential to the trans, but the trans to trans mount, mount to crossmember, and crossmemeber to frame were all good. Only thing I found was the carrier bearing appears to be shot. I could move it roughly 1/2”.

    Thought i would share this with y’all. Finally got an aftermarket bumper for the taco and I’m glad I picked this one. It’s the DIY True North Fabrications plate bumper for the 3rd gen 4Runner. Welded it up last weekend and it was super easy. I still have to weld on the full hoops because I procrastinated. I also have to paint it black but I haven’t decided to powder coat it or hit it with a base/clear coat. But here it is for all those who are deciding what bumper to get. The company is awesome and make a solid product!

    ALSO: finally swapped my ECU for the manual transmission! No check engine light anymore :thumbsup:

    son of a bitch, so close to finally convincing myself to pull the trigger on a bumper and now I have another option to consider...looks great! checked out the website and the full hoop version looks sick, I might have to spring for it

    The Northwest Trail Innovations bumper is still a bit cheaper for the DIY version though, ugh decisions...

    Even their new version? The normal NWTi bumper is like a fat lip but their new version looks really good imo...but yeah it's gonna be a tough call now
