Suppressed 300 blackout pistol for smacking coyotes. I cant decide if i wanna slap on a RDS and 3x or go with a 1-6x 300 blackout optic.

 

Nice! I want to smack coyotes too. All you guys please feel free to let me know if I can tag along for yotes. I haven't done it before. Was thinking about talking to some farmers.

 

We can totally hit up my place once my suppressor is in. The only issue is it’s a “rifle free” area, hence the long barrel on a pistol lower.

I’ve heard e file form 1 wait times are less than a month. I’m really tempted to make my own suppressor.

 

hmm ok, maybe my stripped lower should get a brace. I know that a lower has to be a pistol or rifle and then can't be changed. But looking into if I can move uppers between pistol and rifle lowers.

 

The lowers the only thing serialized. You can put a rifle upper on a pistol lower just not a shoulder stock. As long as the lower was originally sold as a pistol you can jump configurations. Once a rifle always a rifle. Unless you form 4 and sbr it.

Picked up a small game license in August to do that, but the person that was going to take me got busy with other things. Do you just leave the carcasses where they lay?

You can, depending on the hide I’ll keep them. I’ve only shot one that I’d have liked to keep, i shot It with 00 buck so it was wasted.

 

How close were you? I would think you'd have to be inside 70 yards with 00, no?

 

Only time I ever went the coyote were such a problem that you took them into town and got like 5 bucks for a destroyed one and 10 for one that they could use the pelt. Wasn't a bad way to make some beer money lol. Not sure if Wyoming still does that or not though....the bounty part

Dead coyotes bring in more coyotes. Or sometimes cats. Coyotes aren't big game or worth much so it's not considered wastage if you just leave them lay. Don't even have to go get them.

 

I can't find it now but there was something about 26"? OAL the pistol becomes a "firearm" non aow/sbr weapon. It was in relation to vfg's on a pistol with an arm brace attached. The vfg could be equipped so long as the brace was attached and OAL was 26" or greater. You couldn't remove the brace and leave the vfg attached with muddying the water. Remove the vfg first, then the brace can come off to be legal.

 

It's essentially considered pest control?
