Don't be upset when you still get dings even with sliders. Think about it. Not all vehicles will be shorter than yours and not all vehicles will have perfectly flat edged doors. They can be tapered and even poke past the contact point of your sliders. Also, not every parking space will be perfectly level, making it possible for even a lower car to still ding your paint. This "door ding protection" thing that sliders have adopted on this site shouldn't be a major selling point. Way to many variables.

If you're willing to have them welded on, weld on sliders are a lot cheaper, stronger, lighter and have less trouble spots for rust. My sliders were 280 shipped and welding was pizza and beer from a good friend.

Correlation is not causation but I have zero door dings with my sliders and mine is a daily driver that gets parked at an office.

I love my bolt-ons from @RelentlessFab. I had the Predators, while functional, they didn't hold up to the first decent sized rock I hit on a forest road. The step weld broke.

Because of that forest service road, Ive learned that you dont have to do serious rock crawling to need protection. And theres the added bonus of door ding protection!

Plenty of people park in offices without sliders and don't have any door dings. Can you confirm that there are dings on the slider where it has actually saved you a door ding? Like different colored paint on the slider? Otherwise you cant really say they have saved any dings.

Both sides? Is it someone you know? They took effort to do it. And time... it's not straight or slightly wavy. Person stood in front of it and did this instead of walking by casually or quickly.

FS....off a 2017 inferno. No damage. Front plastic bumper with OEM fog lights, aluminum crash bar, end caps, tow hook, chrome grill, chrome grill trim.Make offer for all or part. Local pickup/meet up preferred. Parts are in Reno. But I travel to North Bay, Marin county every other month; if not urgently needed can meet in between just off of 80...will not deliver/meet outside of Reno unless I already happen to be traveling.

Caution. The Mods take a disliking to B/S/T rule infractions. I think you're fine, just giving you a heads up. :fistbump:

Thanks Rob, I was thinking about that but decided to chance it in the basis of it being inferno specific...we will see

Well, they seem harder on people in 3rd gen threads so you should be ok. I just hate seeing new members catching hell for dumb shit.

I hope I don’t know them. They wrote something in the back quarter panel on both sides, but I spared you the carnage. So it was definitely malicious and intentional.

Oh if they wrote something then yea, it's someone that knows you and your schedule. No one takes the time to do that unless they do.

I did say correlation does not equal causation, or are you not familiar with the term?
