Also there’s a bit more to them than bent tubing, although I guess that is just what they are. Here are mine being preped and primed. I went Rattle Can (well paintgun) So I can touch them up when they get scratched.

Thanks! These are actually the 20° sliders, but I use them as a step anyways. The 5° option that RCI offers looks almost completely flat, and they stick out a little more 4FAE84D7-A95F-4DB9-BFD7-E37615D6899C.jpg 8A4FFD6E-973B-4280-AE0D-B148B30DB53A.jpg image.jpg

I have CBI bolt ons. I wasn't impressed with their customer service, and so much so I wont buy another product from them, even though they are designed well.

Id look at Mobtown bolt ons, or demello, or even relentless fab

Beefy! Definitely want to be able to lift the truck using a jack with them, so I am not looking for cosmetic sliders...though I think none mentioned yet are...

Definitely good advice, the shipping can be the deal breaker $100-200+.

Yeah they are, but they don’t come ready to weld on. It’s basically a kit. You have to weld the legs, base plates, and gussets to the sliders.

Here’s a few not so great pics, but you get the idea.

Ive seen videos and pictures of the rrw, and while they look nice, I dont like that you need to upgrade the hardware, and actually drill to make them function as sliders. When you buy sliders, remember that they need to be able to handle the weight of the vehicle, and I know about ZERO people that have had rrw sliders in that situation. I know many that have had rci's on rocks. The rrw also doesnt stick out far enough to really prevent door dings, its about 1 inch too close. Just my opinion, but id look at a different set of sliders if you really are going to use them.

Snugtop caps for the dogs Camburg 2.5 Coilovers, Camburg Uni on 2013. King 2.5 Resis on 2016 Deaver custom expedition leaf pacs , BAMF sliders and other stuff.....
I picked up a set from BAMF.
If buying again I'd pick up a set from @Shmellmopwho ..just because he is local to So Cal and puts out a good product for a fair price. BAMF makes a excellent and beefy product as well but Ryan is just so much closer to the Los Angeles/OC area.

Thank you for that feedback! I do plan to actually use them for their intended purpose as sliders, so that type of information is invaluable. I'll keep digging for more reviews and info on the RRWs.

ouch! the sliders in that video don't match the information on the RRW website at all. Either they've completely changed the design and info on their site since that video was made in August, or the website info is just pure BS.

What about their claim that no drilling is required at all? Did the gentlemen in the video install them incorrectly?

Without drilling they would have mounted witrh 4 screws. By comparison, My cbis come with 8 minimum per side iirc

I might just a be a naive off road noobie, but I would be interested in understanding more about why ppl think sliders are so much better than nerf bars and side rails? Are they that much more functional? I’d also be happy to read up on it if this info already exists else where.

    Doh!

I once had CBI on my short list for sliders, but they want $1400+ with shipping. That's just a bit much for sliders IMO. Do you know if they ever have 25% off sales? lol
