We had so much fun with that truck. In summer, I'd remove the top and my friends and I would cruise the local beach resort towns chasing the girls summering from Canada. Good times!

Did you have to send him the file? Or did he figure out the whole shabang? :notsure:

I told him what I wanted, I sent him a pic of the logo (because Deere has so many.) Then about 10 minutes later he sent me the proof, I had him tweek a couple of things. About 10 minutes later he sent another proof, I PayPal’d him and about 3 or 4 days later I was putting them on the truck!

When my truck bedside got backed into they had to repaint it. I got ahold of him and he keeps everything on file, so I just had him make me another one. Good guy to work with.

I suppose I'm pretty lucky as I've got no old ones to peel off.

The factory ones peeled off pretty easy but the truck was only a couple weeks old at the time.

But there like the factory ones with a protective Mylar front. What I'm after if will they handle Winter, Washes & like what I use my Truck for?

Well it gets pretty cold here (nothing like what you get) but I keep mine washed year round and have never had a problem. I’ve never had them fade or crack in the sun either. Hell I’ve used a clay bar over the top of them with no problem.

That's why I asked you, Steve. Hate Stuff you put on Cosmetic like only to have it fade, break or look like shit in 6 months. I'm no show truck. Use it for what I bought it for. Crawlin' Construction sites, Ice Roads 'n lakes & even Rootin thru the Rhubarb once in a while.

That's so funny! My 1st off road vehicle was a 1980 Bronco. It had the big V8 351 Cleavland. I had Goodyear tires so big the tire place couldn't mount them. I had to take it to a tractor trailer tire place. It also had a removable back cap. And yes, we would go to the beach. As a matter of fact we drove it from our place in the city to the beach. I remember it only getting like 8 mpg. We had to stop like 3 times to get gas for a 3 hour drive.

    God, those were the days!

He makes different types. It depends on the design. Some are vinyl transfer types but mine is like you describe, a mylar decal. It's one solid piece with the design printed on it. It's multiple shades of black and some are semi-transparent. It was a super custom design and it was more money than most. It was worth it to me though.

I’ve already downloaded Chirp and plugged in the local repeaters. I ordered the programming cable, should be here Sunday. I definitely plan to upgrade the antenna and get extended batteries, although I have been surprised at the life of the stock battery. I’m assuming transmitting will use more juice, but I have been monitoring the local Sheriffs Department for several days and the battery hasn’t dropped at all.
