Wow I didn’t even know TNF existed, guess I’m ordering a new bumper kit! That looks amazing.

When you swapped your ECU does it change the mileage display on the truck? I want to do a manual swap but don’t want to mess around trying to put back the correct mileage.

Scored this camper top yesterday for $160. Really wanted a high rise top but for the price and color I couldn’t pass this one up. Needs screens, shocks and keys but still a good buy imo.

I've been thinking about getting a 20 ton. Why did you choose to get a 12? Are the frames the same between the 12 and the 20?

I assume you used spray paint for the console lid. It won’t hold up, try using vinyl dye for surfaces like that.

No the frames are different, the 12 can be broken down easier and it's cheaper. I only have a couple projects to do with it, if I need something bigger I'd be more likely to buy a nicer used press.

I'm just doing some bushings and bearings. Nothing 12tons can't accomplish.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Truck is at the detailer getting a top and bottom engine steam clean to prep for valve covers, then 4x conversion.

For valve covers I'm planning on doing the following:

    Valve cover gaskets
    Valve cover washers
    Half moons
    Cam plugs
    Spark plug well gaskets
    Spark plugs
    Plug wires
    PCV valve
    PCV valve grommet
    Throttle body gasket
    Clean Throttle body
    Plenum gaskets
    Oil
    Oil filter
    Clean MAF sensor

I have all the above... Anyone have any suggestions on something I'm not thinking of? I've seen people tape up the harness in there while they're in there. Does that need to be some sort of high heat tape? Also, I've seen some reference to some sort of coolant line under the intake. Is that on the 6cyl or 4cyl? If it's on the 6cyl, any one know what size hose it is I'd like to Pike up a length of silicone hose before I start this thing.

Both 4 and 6cyl use a throttle body heater hoses and they're 3/8 line. You may want to pick up a new IAC gasket as well if you're taking the time to clean the TB. Make sure you get the right one there is a different gasket if your truck is cali spec emissions or not.

Ok... So, 3/8 silicone hose. I'm assuming a couple feet would be enough. I'll stop by Toyota, they should be able to give me the right IAC gasket by VIN. Good call

Yeah, im not too sure how long those lines are on a V6, on a 4cyl one is about 1.5' and the other is maybe 2'

Then I'll get 3 feet to be sure. I'm thinking silicone will be better with heat and last longer. Am I thinking this out right?

Silicone is fine for coolant use adn lasts a very long time if it's quality line, easy to route for sure but easier to kink as well so be careful how you route it since it won't be molded in shape like the stock line.
