Super jealous of y'all that get to ride year round. This winter has been unseasonably dry so I can still get out when what snow we have melts but it's usually pretty yucky at the lower elevations and we have to contend with the 50-70 mph wind gusts, which are the best. Took advantage of the last dusting to get some much needed service, and because I was a good boy all year long, a few presents to myself ;).

This is near Redcliff, Alberta over-looking the South Saskatchewan river. Filled with snakes, badgers and some of the best biking in south eastern Alberta.

I know! I definitely take the time to offer up my gratitude each and every time I get to go (in the form of a ceremonial vape sesh at the trail head), but the thought of being able to keep progressing through the winter is a huge draw. It's usually deadsville here between November and March and then I suffer through trying to catch up to where I left off the previous year. Although...I'm not sure my knees could handle year-round biking.

Yeah, same here. Although it's just life that has gotten in the way of keeping my fitness level, between working and kids...But the last kid just graduated High School last May so things are going to change now!!!
At 51 I'm glad to still be riding and enjoying it as much as I do!

Thanks a lot, I wasn't sure how the skinwalls were going to look in person but I love 'em. Reminds me of the 73 VW Bus we used to have.

They really nom nom'd my backyard pump track but that isn't really fair, I'm hoping I can get out on Monday for a wee rip o' the local trails and see what's what.

How far west and what is open with this terribad weather we had? Cause... that all sounds awesome! Also, yep, I watch the crap out of the dorba site to see who'll let me in! Are Dino Park (sounds awesome), Solovaca or Cleburne park open after rain like we've had this week? For the time being and with how out of shape (read: slow) I am right now, I'm looking for anything to keep it moving after rain.

Sounds awesome, I'm all in! That's a nice bike, man, hell yeah! I know the feeling of using the rack with an empty bed, but I still do it, LOL. Although, with the factory tonneau cover and the bike being so long, I'm not sure how I'd do it efficiently yet. 1600 miles, holy shit! That's heavy duty dude! Also, if/when I go ride with any of you, be prepared for frequent stops and lots of wheezing/whining!

I went for a little ride the other day to go check out some trails/fire roads a local dude told me about near my house since the rain closed all the close-ish ones... needless to say... it didn't go super awesome but was still fun haha...

Well, 2018 is done and here’s where I was: 1,958 miles, 376,867 ft, 141 days. This is only mtb, none of the roadie miles.

Had to start the new year right...

It's an '18 Process SE, now featuring a couple parts to make my life less stabby. The stock dropper remote had it in for me man, a have 3 gnarly scars on my left leg from where it punctured me through my pads as I, very gracefully, ate shit at various times last year.

Depending on where you're coming from Dino. Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Tx. is roughly 85 miles from Dallas proper (google maps). Solavaca is a privately owned Ranch that allows public use for a small fee https://solavaca.com/ is literally 5 miles further down the road from Dino. Cleburne State Park is about 18 miles closer on the same highway that leads to Glen Rose.
Everything is closed right now though. If we get a couple days without rain they will probably open up. Definitely call before hand. Nice YT man!
