Anyone here with experience with Tahoes? Wife and I are in the market for a larger SUV but not suburban size and I've always liked them but want to do a bit of research before diving into a domestic. I've always owned Toyotas, lexus, audi, nissan, etc...

Too many but also not enough mods
I know it's getting redesigned for next year

We had a 2012 Denali that was babied and it was junk. Everything falls apart after a couple of years, Mickey Mouse construction. We just traded it for a 2017 Armada.

Good to know, domestic cars are 'usually' like that. Pretty cheap interior, low resale which is partly why i've been so turned off by them. Will give the Tahoe a good test and see how it measures up.

4 runner is our top choice right now actually. I've always been a huge fan of them. We're a Prius and Tacoma family right now

Looked at a Tahoe and went with a 4Runner. Tahoe was nice but low ground clearance and interior was what kept me from pulling the trigger even with my grandfathers GM discount. Went with the 4Runner

That’s what my wife had before we bought a 2011 4Runner and we just traded that in and got a 19 4runner. Got rid of the Prius C cause we had a baby coming

I haven't done a ton of research yet on the 4runner, but does it come with a bucket seat option for 2nd row? We're looking for option for 3rd row seating but its only functional if you have 2nd row buckets otherwise its pretty useless

I don’t think the third row seats are bucket. I think they just slide forward to allow passengers get it.

How could you say you picked the 4runner over the new Tahoe? The interior is awesome.

No 3rd row on a 4Runner as far as I know.

Really like the 2014+ Tahoes. They get decent gas mileage too. I wouldn't even consider a 4Runner (Sorry guys) if I had the option to buy one.

Yep, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Our little one the other day was playing with her kitchen set and at one point had 3 knives in her right hand....i looked at my wife and asked her if we should be worried lol

I'm pretty open to considering a Tahoe, but want to look at the long term quality. Since we tend to keep our cars 5-10 years

I didn’t like the one I looked at. With a growing family and a 2 year old bulldog I didn’t say it was cheap lol. It was too nice for them lol

We went with a 4runner. No regrets at all.

Pleasure to drive and very comfortable for the kids in the back.

    I highly recommend them.

Maybe the newer ones are better. Ultimately it’s your money so get whatever you like!

Absolutely, i was just getting a feeler out there for opinions hoping someone here had/has a >2017 Tahoe and could give some good input on it. Regardless, i'll continue to do my own diligence and look into it
