    TACOMA TANK UPDATE
Happy New Year - All good on this end, lots of progress across the LRA family of tanks. Specific to the Tacoma range, here are some of the high points:
    1. We have updated the LRA Tacoma kit and are back in production/distribution. Same price $1,595, but the filling, venting and burping issues are solved and the replacement tank is rated at 33 gallons.
    2. We are providing update components for existing customers and will help pay for the time/labor to install. Existing owners need only contact us at info@cruiserbrothers.com
    3. We are working on a possible auxiliary tank of around 30 gallons. On this, we need to confirm measurements for all body/box configurations from 2005 to 2019 - DCSB, DCLB and Access Cap. We are looking for dimensions within the void between the frame rails and cross-members in the colored area shown below.

We have sold several hundred LRA tanks here in North America over the last year and with the exception of the venting issues, all of the kits install and function as designed without any hiccoughs. Not including the Taco Aux discussed here, Georg Esterer and I (Ward Harris) have helped LRA to update or develop eight different tank kits for North American vehicles, with more on the way.

We have been blessed with the collaboration, cooperation, support and patience goodwill of dozens of vehicle owners that have helped us learn the product and build the business, as well as the products that give us a reason for existence.

If you can take ten minutes to take a tape to your truck, we would appreciate any forum members that can provide the following:
    • Year and Model - Body (Dual Cab or Access Cab) and Bed Length (Short or Long)
    • Length, Width & Height without Spare Tire, Hanger or Crosspiece - Both clear span and with removal or relocation of any frame or bed-mounted brackets, tabs or components
    • Any good-quality photos of the subject area from different angles (with description) would be appreciated, along with other comments, observations, suggestions, etc.
    • Questions via the forum and emailed responses to info@cruiserbrothers.com
This is a team effort and we appreciate any/all help.

So this basically takes the spot where the spare tire would be? Would it interfere with the LRA Tacoma tank I already have?

Yessir, that is the plan. The Hi Lux diesel version works with the OE and LRA replacement main tanks. Subject to US/petrol filling and venting, we hope to replicate the layout and function of the Aussie rigs.

I spoke to you a couple of months ago regarding adapting the current TTACDCR tank to a 2013 access cab, but a 30 gallon aux tank in the spare tire void might be a better option for me. I'm still interested in both at the moment, so I will stay tuned for future details.

Regarding the 30-gallon aux tank, can you provide an overview of how the Hilux is configured, and if it would the same/similar on our trucks? Does it move fuel from the aux to the main tank when the main tank is low, or is it like a reserve tank with it's own fuel pump and a line the tees into the factory feed line? If it moves fuel to the stock tank, how does this happen - gravity, dedicated pump, other?

Thanks for all the past and future help. You guys are great!

Happy to help with either solution when available. It will be similar to the Australian kit. For details on how an aux tank works, see our instructions for the GX 470 / 4G 4Runner kit as attached.

I’m going to get these measurements for you this weekend. Do you have this image in a larger size?

Sorry, this is the best I could find without signing up for a body shop database of dimensions.

here is what i got from mine.
i would say it needs to make sure you dont hit the rear diff at full stuff. how do you plan on transferring the fuel? gravity fill? transfer pump?
