I'm answering a question being asked about the deAutoLED product. It is not me simply mentioning something without a reason.

That's odd, the link now goes to $89 headlight bulbs, not the $1 194 license plate bulbs.

If there’s nothing wrong with it and it’s just a bad connection/wiring issue, you might care.

We see it, and he was addressing a question. He is welcome to do that. To add, it seems you are hell bent on trying to shit on their product. Ive checked out their stuff first hand, and before they became a vendor. I can assure you they sell good stuff, and have the customer service to back it up. SO, get off the shit posting.

This technology advances faster than the consumer can keep up. I watched a video once where an engineer dissected a headlight LED bulb. There's not a lot going on in there. A circuit board, wiring, diodes, a fan, more wiring. It's a very unique miniaturized setup. But honestly it's very simplistic in nature. No different than any other small electronic device you can but for 5 bucks in a toy store. It just happens to have higher end components. They are assembled by machines of course and we all know how loose the quality control can be at this level of cost. Besides the diodes, a major component in the assembly is the fan. Since everything is so miniaturized and since wattage is constantly increasing, these things generate a lot of heat which is detrimental to all the small components.

The point finally is, your buddies bulbs likely just wore out and stopped working. It's unlikely that both of the fans quit working at the same time but anything is possible. If they did though, that would definitely fry them. The only other explanation is some sort of spike or short in that part of the wiring harness. Or, as you said, bad luck.

That's why I still endorse and am impressed with the @XenonDepot LEDs. My versions don't have fans to fail. They have heat sinks to move the heat away from the main unit. Less moving parts is what drew me to them. When I am in the truck, my lights are on too, even during the day in full sun. I honestly just leave them in the on position so I never have to remember to turn them on.

I know none of this helps your bud right now but it might help him decide on what to replace them with.

You banned him the first time for doing exactly the same thing and your OK with it now? The vendor markets inflated priced leds that anyone can buy on Ebay. That's the reason he never posts pics of his products. I'm just making forum members aware but if your OK with it, great.

    I'm out of here.

So you contacted the Amazon seller and they are not going to send you a coupon for a replacement bulb?

Yeah, I've been searching and can't find them.

This is all I could find. But this is all you need.

I sent them an email but have yet to hear back im sure they will take care of it. I just put my old headlights back in. I was going to buy Hikaris for the high beams but I am having 2nd thoughts now so now I need to look around for a HB replacement. I will want them to replace the pair!

Ahh, ok. Well, I know some people are not keen on endorsements but I like my @XenonDepot Extreme Pro LEDs. At least if you have an issue you can call and speak to a person who is also an end user.

And then there's @deAutoLED.com . I mean, I have their bulbs too in my front turn signals. They are insanely bright. And they also have excellent customer support.

Pick one, either will not be a bad choice.

I will only buy lighting from sources that offer customer support from now on.

Case in point. My 42" Auxbeam lightbar developed a crack in the clear lens. Maybe stress related, maybe a stone. Ou was prepared to attempt a repair but I contacted them. It was within the warranty time frame so they sent a new light bar.

I am a Amazon Prime member and shop there nearly daily but I definitely think twice about what I buy. Lighting, unless it's through the manufacturer will not be one.

Those photos do the products much better justice and they look great! Nice work. I never said they looked poor.

The only more impressive finish I've seen personally was a filled, sanded, and airbrushed piece, which is a lot of post-processing that would drive up cost substantially.

This is why I've gone with deAutoLED bulbs for my truck. I read most of this thread prior to purchasing and the general consensus was great quality and customer service. My truck just seems to not get along with the bulbs and I can't figure out why. And I'm 99% certain it isn't user error. How many engineers does it take to "screw" in a light bulb?

On the @XenonDepot website there is a 10% off coupon. You might get free shipping too. Would make them $108.
