The best part about GN's is that you never know what's under the hood.

This was the last motor I built...
Never got it down the track... but it was easily a high 9-sec car without the nitrous.
Sold the car before I was finished in order to open a gun shop.
Wish I still had the car.

They sure hold their value, here’s an original with 88 miles. $139,000 a little steep

A quick search found the Borg Warner EFR-7670 T4 Twin Scroll with a waste gate and ceramic coating for $2398. The base price is $1632 but you have to add for the twin scroll, waste gate, and ceramic coating. When you add the down pipe, plumbing, connections, profit, etc you are looking at a $5000- $6000 system. At least it will be a lot less than the twin turbo system he was originally talking about. This turbo is built for a 400-650 HP system. A lot more information can be found on the following link.

    That's insane.
A Turbonetics or Precision turbo should easily be under $1k.

Here... MSRP on this is $775.

You also may get what you pay for. Borg Warner and Garrett have the well deserved reputation for making the best in the turbo business. I bought a Toyota for its reputation for having the best quality trucks available and I for one am very happy that Mat has chosen a quality turbo. I think it was @RedLantern who has his own turbo and asked Mat if he could just buy the system without the turbo. Maybe you could also do the same thing.

Why not use the turbo that the Ecoboost Mustang uses? It's a twin scroll as well. I'm not sure that the CFM is enough but I'm sure the next size up isn't only the EFR, which would help reduce costs.

His turbo choice is quite good actually. Especially if it’s an EFR series. Not sure how well the twin scroll will benefit since you can’t route the pulses of each combustion chamber, so I’d rather run an open t4 housing. If thats an option being offered I’d go that route instead.

I'm assuming twin scroll for the quicker spool u

Edit: I'm retarded and completely read your post wrong lol.

As far as the chambers go, all he needs to do is route bank one "downpipe" to bank two and merge them together. Unless that's not how it works on a single turbo V6

That won’t work. It’s dependant on the cylinders firing order and not the bank.

Edit: I mean it’ll still work but not like a true twin scroll setup

I'll show you guys how it is setup in about a week.

I choice a EFR for a specific reason. Borg Warner EFRs are some of the fastest spooling turbos with unbeatable response. The titanium alloy turbine is so lightweight that response is unbeatable.
The way borg Warner designs their twin scrolls are also a feat of engineering. I chose the T4 0.92 twin scroll internal gated housing.

On my mazda which I turboed with a EFR 6758, 2.5L engine would see 40psi by 3000 rpm. That was fully built thought.

You guys will see soon :), just need the intake pieces to come in.

Oh..and the sound! Youtube "mazda 3 2.5 turbo" find mine and just listen...

Passenger side bank 3 cylinders routed into inside scroll, drivers side bank 3 cylinders routed to outside scroll.
    Turbo is top mounted
