As the title said today is the day. I have received a internet price from my local deal on a DC LB TRD and I want a lower price than that so I'm going to go talk to them this morning and tell them want it lower and then I will buy, if it works I may have me truck today.
I'm tired of hearing "If we sell the truck lower we don't make any money and can't stay in business"

There are other ways to make a "deal" work .....;)

Out of boredom yesterday I visited a "Dealer" Saturday and WOW>>>Sticker shock.....$31g's for a new Taco:eek::eek:.....

They are having cash incentives from the factory, will work on low APR financing BUT would really work the #'s on my trade ( my '02 has been re-framed and only has 54k miles:cool:;) )...

Yes ,the X-tra cabs now have 4 doors BUT that double cab is WOW.... And yes I could live with the smaller bed ( my other truck is a MACK ;):D ) BUT truck payments again?????

    Rodallg,

Have them "Work" the entire package not just PRICE.....using their money for the length of the loan(you can't make that kind of $$$$ on a bank savings account)...amazing things might happen.....

    Good Luck.....

Definitely decide what you're willing to pay before you walk in the door. Once you get there and start seeing those shiny new trucks and smelling that new car smell strange things start to happen! And if you can check the other local dealers web sites before you go, you'll know if there are other trucks configured like you want in the area. The number of trucks available should definitely influence their willingness to deal.

I couldn't get a price I could live with locally because there was only 1 truck within 100 miles configured like I wanted. After some intenet research I found 3 at a dealership 200 miles away. On my first call to that dealer last week he gave me a price $800 cheaper than the local quote. But before I drove up there I called the local dealer back and gave him a shot at the deal. He didn't particularly like it, but he got within $150 and for that I decided to stay local. So I brought home the truck last Friday. Without the leverage of the out of town offer I would not have gotten a good price, and wouldn't have bought the truck right now.

    Good luck!
