I have searched but couldn't find it.

What program can I use to customize the features of the truck? Not Performance related, but customize turn signals, activate features in the speedometer- allow TPMS to be shown, door locks, etc.

I had a Mini Cooper before and you could get in and activate/deactivate almost anything.

Is there a program that can do it for the Taco?

I have the SR and want to see what options are in there. I upgraded the instrument cluster from the SR to a Limited and want all of the screens to be active.

    Thanks, Stan

You can get a “hacked” version of techstream that’s free. But you can’t activate/deactivate whatever you want

I want to get my TPMS to show in my instrument cluster. I also have two blank screens in my Cluster. I am wondering if it is a setting or if I something computer wise is missing in the SR. It shows in my Kenwood Radio via Maestro Idatalink, but not in the cluster.

That’s a setting in the cluster I believe

Sounds like you’re referring to the Multi-information display, see pages 94-100 in your manual. You can “set/customized up to three Drive Information pages (those blank screens you mentioned).

Pg 467. TPMS shown in the cluster. Mine is blank. I am wondering if there is a setting in the ECU that allows it to be displayed. My screen is blank.

Are you sure you have tpms in your tires?

Do you have original radio ?
I think data comes through higher end radios than on SR. Canbus data transposed for cluster such as turn info etc also.
    Do you have inclinometer ?
My Pioneer nex4200 shows tpms, door open, engine data( rpms, temps, etc.)
Better than would be on cluster.

yes. It shows in my Kenwood radio, but I am thinking it is an ECU setting or a missing component that I don't have . I even bought and installed a factory Premium radio to see if it is controlled by the radio but it didn't change the instrument cluster readout. The SR radio is basic and doent have many features.

Yup, this. Also, you can get into the head unit on your dash and make a lot of customized setting changes in there too.

But that's for only things like distance to empty etc, not tpms.

True, no TPMS, but I was a able to adjust door lock/unlock behavior, distance the fob has to the truck to work, lighting, etc.

Standard option on premium... not sure about others. I set mine to all doors after adding passenger side smart handle.

    Will you explain more please?

I'm searching the forum trying to determine how to program all four doors to unlock with either a push of the button or by inserting my hand into the drivers handle. (I'm guessing that's a smart handle, and what you put on your passenger side?)

I’ll go out in a few and check the menu options for you. It’s in the head unit.

For the passenger handle, yes. Buy a driver’s side handle and put it on the passenger side ‘upside down’. They are symmetric so no difference. The little ridges are on the top and bottom. You’ll have to do a little wire pulling and splicing, but it’s well documented and fairly easy. It’s one of my best mods. I hated having to pull out my keyless fob every time I wanted to let my wife in.

    Rad. Thank you.

Also, I just watched a video showing it works by holding both the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob for ten seconds. I'll give that a shot in a bit.

Found it this am. It’s in the head unit.

Apps | Setup | Vehicle | Vehicle Settings | Door lock Settings.

I had to have the truck running to get there. The first time I got to the screen with Vehicle settings, it was greyed out. I chose another menu and came back and it was available. Not sure what’s up with that.
