I gotta stop in at the local dealer. Her t4r is close to 10k. I’m alittle gun shy after what happened at sparks with her grill last time. Does anyone know do I have to even take it in for anything if I do it all myself?

I thought as long as I keep all the receipts and I can prove all maintenance was done I’m good on warranty. I would rather do it all myself then let the dealer touch any of our vehicles.

Sparks tried to tell me the Toyota care was only through them which I think is bullshit. I would rather just do everything myself. For tsb and updates I would like to use the closest dealer if possible.

I changed her oil in t4r at 5 k since I was towing the boat. It’s not bad at all. If you’re gunna do it yourself just remove the skid plate though. Makes it so much easier. I will keep all the receipts and do everything myself. Just gives me piece of mind.

Off completely. If ya let it hang from the front it’s a royal pain to get the oil filter housing off. Pull the pins and remove the bolts on the front plastic to remove the skid. If ya don’t you're gunna fight to the get the skid back on.

Another think I did was take a Walmart bag around the housing and let it drop it that. I don’t even use the bottom drain. Saves a huge mess. Clean the housing inside and out and you’re good to go. Would rather have a design like the 2nd gen tacos but it ain’t that bad, my 3rd gen taco is the same set up.

How's it going all? Busy here. In the middle of a partial kitchen remodel.

That came out pretty good looking. I'm gonna have to learn to do tile work since my boys managed to get water in the bathroom floor, and now it's sagging.

I really hope there is little in the way of rot, and really really hope there's no mold.

I need to redo my shower. The plastic shower insert got a crack in it so tear that out and put in a walk-in tile shower. Only thing I'm truly concerned about is the barrier under the tile.
