Since yall have so much more off road knowledge can you please help me with real world pizza cutters 255 vs 285 for 33s. Since i dont to offroad too often does it make sense to go pizza cutters or would i regret it every time i did?

I’m running 285x11.50. I don’t go off-road as much as I’d like but when I do I don’t have to worry about much. What are your concerns?

Being older I come from a time where the wider the tire the better. It took a bit of convincing to get me to consider a talker wider tire 255/80/17. I went for it and have never looked back. Do I still like the looks of a wider tire? Yes but I can’t deny the fantastic traction I have found with these in any condition I have put them in so far

I wheeled hard with 255s and they never let me down. Only reason I went bigger tires was because I like the look.

So I was downtown Richmond last night wearing my pelfreybilt hat. Some guy in a Prius drove by me and I think he shouted out the window and said "Nice hat, asshole."

They are not really "pizza cutters" the way I think of them on Jeeps where some people run tires significantly skinnier than stock. These are only a hair skinnier so not noticeable to me. Added benefit of no clearance issues and probably a little better mpg and easier on the brakes.

Just hit the magnifying glass and type locker anytime or locker mod. There are several threads on it.
