Nice! Extended travel also? Going this route cause I'm not ready for a rear lift yet. How off was your alignment after install?

Yup extended and not sure if im ever going to lift the rear.
I want to keep the truck as low as possible while being able to cycle though the travel.
    Handles way better that way.

Alignment wasn’t terrible to drive or to naked eye, but the shop said I was toed out and pushed forward.
They fixed it up and all good.

You do need UCAs for extended though.
Otherwise i think you will have alignment issues.

I think I might have screwed up....
So, I have extended Kings with 650 lbs springs up front, because I was planning on getting one if those slim winch bumpers. Now, seems that plan is going to sht... I'm thinking of getting CBI T3 bumper and of course a winch with it. Which means I'll also slap on a bigger battery (most probably Northstar 31M) Sooo, might have to switch to 700lbs springs.... :annoyed: Not optimal solution

Hey guys I need some help. I have 600# extended coilovers in the front. I notice clinching over speed bumps and hard drops. I think it has to do with preload. What is the safe amount of pleload for a 3rd gen?

How many threads are you showing and did you measure your lift before and after?

Here are some pics. I Have the passenger side 3/4" shorter than the drivers side to compensate for taco lean. I can mainly feel the clunking on the passengers side for some reason.

Yeah that looks like way too much. I have about 9 threads showing and prior to me adding my bumper up front, it gave me about 2-1/4” lift which Kings says that the max lift should be 2-1/2”. From the pic looks like you may have 13 threads showing. Not sure exactly where the noise is coming from but you may be topping out on them. Try lower them about 2-3 threads from each side and go over bumps to see if it makes the noise.

    Lift and cap so far...
You should check to make sure all your bolts are tight. That could be the issue especially if you are experiencing the clunking on the side with less preload

Yea I went back and double checked most bolts. I will go back and go down on preload and double check the torque on everything.

There could be one more thing , if you were running a sway bar, check if your sway bar isn't hitting a coil. You might need to twist your spring a little to get a coil out of the way
