Favorite Whiskey?

The eh Taylor small batch is currently my favorite. Just finished a bottle of it over the holidays. I'm going to pickup a bottle of the single barrel this weekend

 

I finally opened my bottle of Longbranch last night(Wild Turkey "collaboration" with Mathew McConahagh). Refined with oak charcoal and Texas mesquite. I bought it on a whim and then worried I fell for marketing mumbo jumbo. Turns out it's pretty good and I think worth the $40 I paid...

 

Well since the GF and I were at garrison bros last Sunday we decided to buy some product since there are no bottle sales in TX on a Sunday... gonna save the cowboy bourbon for a special occasion.

Keep your eyes peeled for the diamond from Turkey, Its really good!

 

At 134 proof it’ll be some true sippin material.

 

I was looking for the Suntory Hibiki Japanese Harmony 2018 Limited Edition, found it today, $149 a bottle. Didn't buy one, but I am so tempted. Probably going to be gone when I decide to pull the trigger. Only got 2 bottles and it seems to be selling for upwards of $300 a bottle online. As far as I can tell it's the same whiskey, just the limited bottle.

 

Never heard of it so I looked it up. Pretty bottle. It does seem like the contents are the same.

 

Local place around here has Blanton’s “hoobastank barrel#347” but seemed pricey at $70.
Picked up some Henry McKenna instead.

 

Yeah, it's a gorgeous bottle. For whatever reason I'm attached to the Japanese whiskey.

I've been looking for Old Ezra for some time. Inexpensive but underrated, from what I've read. Nobody has it around here, ever. I stumbled upon this bottle sitting on the shelf behind a bottle of something else - there wasn't a shelf label or space for it. Kind of a orphan bottle. It's also has a rare factory error with the double label on the bottom. Makes it worth 10 times more, right?! Lol.

 

Prob a good snag if you decide to resell.

I picked up some of the 101 and barrel proof today you also never see it around here.. trying to barter for some w12, OWA, among others...

If all else fails I’ll just be forced to drink it. Shucks haha

 

I really want one of the bottles, I figure I might resell one and keep the other. Or hang onto it for 20 years and hope I hit the lottery

 

Saw three bottles of the diamond today at Jacobs Liquor in Crossroads, TX if anyone is looking in the DFW area.. Didn’t pull the trigger though.

 

Wow, big haul! I wold have loved to have found the Barrel Strength as well. Just have to keep my eyes pealed.

 

Gonna trade two of the Barrel Strengths. One for a EHT Rye and a second one for a Elmer T Lee. Now I just gotta go meet up with the people and hope they stand by there word..

Wishing I would have bought the fourth Ezra barrel strength that was on the shelf now!
