Track your loss, keep a close eye on it. Pull some spark plugs and get some light in there have a look at the pistons, if theyre covered in oil or caked in gross sludge I'd say you're in the same boat, make sure it's not something simple like pcv too. It starts quite gradual but can increase without warning.

Thanks I’ll have to keep a eye on it. I did plugs a few years ago so I’m gonna do them again soon.
I’ll use a bore scope to see what I got.
I did the pcv and valve cover gasket recently.
I was all excited about the lack of build up it was clean inside.
I’m just over 172k but it hasn’t been pushed like yours at all.
    Thanks again for the info.
I thought your rig would go forever!

It in all likelihood would have gone a lot longer, but we're dealing with a factory issue, not a use or abuse issue. My valve cover and valve train were mint looking too, I was still loosing 1L of oil per tank of fuel

I believe it's 10 years from date of application. Meh it's worth the warranty.

I've got my shop space scheduled for the first week of Feb, just been getting some last minute details squared away. Spoke with the machine shop again and I'll be sending them the complete long block, so I'll get a basically turn key engine back, primed with oil and timed ready to rock. I decided to do this since they can get better deals on parts than I can and they've also done a couple 2tr engines already. It's been a bit of one thing after another since I got the parts together. The fiance also got a job offer in another city about 4 hrs away, so I took a time out to see what happened there. We decided to stay put till after the wedding and finish the truck asap

So unless the world ends this weekend, I'll be starting the deconstruction on my weekend lol which starts Tuesday or Monday night provided I get home early enough. I totally spaced and forgot to order flywheel bolts with the clutch kit so I just ordered some from LCE since they somehow have a better price than Toyota locally .... My landlord is letting me keep the truck in the shop until everything is done which is a nice surprise. I was fully prepared to roll the truck out of the shop and let her sit so he had access but a 24 of bud light (there's no barf emoji) has bought me the shop for the month lol... Also oddly arp doesn't make flywheel bolts for the 3rz/2tr
