Correct. Both trucks reused the factory cats, and I actually purchased a backup set of stock manifolds w/ cats from Juanito. Just incase I ever want to switch to DT, since their pipes are slightly larger than the jba.

 

Wonder if you could find stock tundra cats? The pipes may be larger. Just an idea.

 

I was thinking of picking up a TB spacer just so I can do that. Didn’t do it though. Most the TB spacers out there are 1”+. That might send my TB through the hood.

I've never seen one that thick. I haven't looked i to all makes though. My hemi was only 1/4" at the flange making it too thin to work. If the bolt spacing was the same you could use, or make fit a urd plate like mine.

 

Yea all TBS for the 4.7 are around 25mm or so. That could work. 4.3 shares pretty much all parts with the 4.7. I’ve got that 73 or 76mm TB that you guys are always after. How thick is that URD plate?

Edit - I think that idea could be better. Could easily remove the plate for smog checks. Even though I’ll just be spraying the finest distilled hipster Voss water. Instead of drilling a hole into my intake tube.

Alright I think that could work. And cheaper than all the TB spacers. Really depends on how flat I can hammer down the hoods skeleton. That’s where my TB makes contact.

 

Dremel with a cut off wheel. Done.

 

That’s the plan. Cut off wheel and a small hammer if needed.

 

Cover everything and use a magnet to collect as much debris as possible.

 

So another question. All the adapters would be the same for me right? Since I’ll just be using one set of holes.

 

Did you/your dad weld the headers to the cats?

 

All I can say is they have a stock tacoma and tundra bolt pattern.

 

We had a shop do it. They did his perfect but botched mine. Driverside cat is crooked. Causes some annoying rattles on the catback, and the transmission to header bracket no longer lines up.

Looking at the pictures I believe they’re all the same. Just different bolt hole spacing. I should have just bought one of those instead of the stupid ass expensive snow aluminum bung.

 

Yeah. That price. I bought a whole set of taps and dies for less.

 

Did a little bit of porting. Cleaned it up. Just brought it to work and was playing around in my down time.
