Just ordered a set of 5, 255/85/16 from “Tirebuyer.com” shipped to a local shop. Total with free shipping and tax, (less install) $1246.00. I’m thinking that was a good price.
They gave me a choice of 5 preferred local shops for install and added a coupon for a particular shop for 65$ installation.
They should be in in 2-3 days.
I’ll post pics when they get installed.

Not 100% on the pricing on your size, but 3 years ago I got my 265/75/16 for $945 installed with certs (and tax) at Discount.
Either way you will be happy with them. Best truck tires I have ever had.

Got em today. Just picked the truck up. I think I’m liking them. Spare fit perfectly.
Thanks to the community of TW for all the great info to help in the decision.

The only thing I have notice I don't like about these tires is at highway speed it feels like they wander.

I’ve read that in other posts. I’ve yet to get out on the freeway. When I picked the truck up, they had them aired at 38 all the way around (nitrogen). I’ve backed them down to 34/36. It softened up the ride a bit.

Fully warmed up I have mine at 35.

Usually just drive my truck around town.

Went on a little road trip with the wife and during the day, it's okay but at night the wandering is really annoying going 70mph in traffic.

I won't be getting another set of these tires again.

I’m hoping I don’t experience that. Luckily with all the high taxes we pay here in socialist republic of California we have some mighty smooth and well maintained roads, NOT.

Almost 11,000 miles later, some trails and mostly highway and city, love every mile. Not loud and wearing evenly.

I’ve got a few hundred miles on my AT3 XLT’s and like them A LOT so far. I do wonder how they compare to the ST Maxx though. The weight savings and 295/75 size option was the final push to the XLTs for me. Have yet to tackle snow but in everything else they’ve been great.

St Maxx have better traction and have a more firm ride. It makes the truck feel more planted and steady.

that size may be different in huge ways, not sure, but I've run both STMaxx and the new AT3 LT's in load range E 265/65-17 size on the same truck & wheels. on paper the carcass specifications are identical so i assume it's exactly the same carcass and that makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint. but the ride firmness is significantly different to me between the two tires. i find the AT3's stiffer and slower to warm up on the highway than the STMaxx. probably because there's more rubber holding it all firm where the Maxx have more void space in the tread allowing it to flex more.

i was surprised to find i prefer the STMaxx big time over the AT3's in all situations except a wet road. AT3's win there for sure. next set STMaxx again, that will be my third set.

Try adding some castor if you haven't already that usually helps quite a bit. If they are the 255/85/16's there's a good bit of sidewall there that can attribute to this also. In this case not really the tires but the size
