Yeah the 80 is like that perfect mix of modernness with good old solid axles and coil springs around, etc.

 

100s are hawter with that V8 for most folks... I'm a little biased towards the straight six though

 

I have no experience with either so v8 soulds coolee lol.

And if i get a 100 it be mainly a daily driver

 

Yeah, solid nice reliable cush vehicle. Some are seeing these now get to the 500k+ mile mark with original drive train

I don't think there were any cruiser models that have ever been duds.

 

What about that one that people think is a legit cruiser, but isnt?

The FJ cruiser isn't a dud it's plenty reliable, it's just not a Land Cruiser, it's basically a short wheelbase 4runner with the worlds worst visibility

 

So it’s still a cruiser

 

Oh i know its reliable. I just never saw its practicality. Kind of like an extra extra cab tacoma with how small the rear seats are.

 

They are also pretty ugly in stock form. Built up they look badass

 

They were ugly up until they started color matching the roofs. Never understood the white roofs. Also dont get it on some of the new C-HR's.

 

The whole vehicle is a throwback to the old Land Cruisers, 40 series mostly. So the white roof was supposed to look like the removable portion on 40 series.

 

Yeah, but it looked terrible aside from the grille.

 

Yeah it isn't the best design, something tells me they started with a 40 series in mind and after making it safe and modernish it ended up like the mess we see now.

 

I saw this grill in person the other day. Kinda cool

Like a FJ fucked a Range Rover. Hopefully the Toyota doesn't get the unreliability Range Rover herpes.
