My phone is on the left side as well and having a power cord across the steering column bugs me as hell!
Which USB outlets and wiring harness did you use?

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I installed them on my truck. if I remember correctly -the rubber just snaps up and out of your way letting you but them where you want. I went and looked at a few new trucks to check placement.

I dig that grill for its simplicity!

I'd like to see one with black rivets instead of chrome/stainless. How difficult do you think it would be to rig a TSS sensor to the back of it?[/QUOTE]

I used the CH4X4 that comes with the harness. The description doesn’t include 3rd gens but it’ll work on the left side if you have a blank.

When adding a add-a-fuse I make sure I go with a low-profile one that matches our fuses that I purchased off eBay. I plugged into the 15amp power outlet fuse space, and there’s a convenient 10mm mounting screw for the ground.

    I am the Anti-Chrome.

Replaced the rear bumper caps on my 2019 TRD OR today with some black OEM caps found on eBay for just $93.

Not a chance! Those definitely ended up in a drawer full of random pieces... lol

I hate the fact that the bumper is a little looser than it used to be, but I couldn't get those metal clips to stay in place to save my life. :notsure:

As an update to the OwlCam, I notice it but it doesn't really bother me because it's fairly low in my sightline. The interior lights on the cam do bug me though, I might have to use the old electrical tape fix. Even with my phone in my pocket they still come on. The cam is supposed to recognize my phone as the owner and not freak out at me. So that's kinda odd but I'll work some more at it.
Here's a pic showing how high it sits off the dash. This is the lowest mount and I almost had to go to the next taller mount.
    20190106_143457.jpg

Here is where it is at roughly my seating position.
    20190106_143509.jpg

And this is what the camera sees.

Just found out about this the other day, interested in it as the install seems the easiest to hide the wires and such. Are you happy with it?

Suggest running the USB through the backside of the vent. Works well for me and not dangling.

Also, just realized you are running the cable from the center instead of directly from the panel. Consider a hidden usb converter. I hide mine behind the lower left panel under the fuses. It runs my dash cam and my always on phone cable.

So far I am but I don't have a ton of time with it yet. It gave me notifications when the gf drove it but it only says possible damage when she opened the door. It seems pretty decent but the app maybe needs more polishing. I'm using android and I know they were only supporting iOS when they first started selling them. It transfers video over 4G so that can be a little choppy but I think it would do the job. Overall I like it but for $350 I don't think I would buy it again. I put an Anker ROAV in the gfs car and I think that might be a better value at $80 unless you really need the app notifications and stuff.
