Interesting flex on the flat bed but ok..... so few things never weld pipe directly to frame you should use a base plate, also why so high? Center of gravity is higher than stock bed that’s not ideal. The secondary support tubes near the cab will do little for support the geometry isn’t right those tubes should meet the upright primary tubes at the base plate to spread load evenly . In this situation your putting latteral load on the verticals support tubes which decreases the strength of them... the section above the shocks are not supported properly the notches over time will crack not strong enough for weight support plus vibration... good concept execution needs a lot engineering work

From the various fabricators I've asked.. plates are only really necessary if the stress points are in one direction, such as for sliders. The bed is going to be tied to the frame on the sides also to spread out the stress. I'll attach some photos I doodled on IG earlier that show the next tubes I'm adding.

These four orange tubes will attach at the side of the frame.

    IMG_20190105_175215_795.jpg

These four will attach to the top also.

    IMG_20190105_175246_609.jpg

    More tubes for the floor.

    IMG_20190105_175414_511.jpg

Center of gravity isn't a concern either because the spare tire, rear winch, dual batteries, and tools will all be at the frame level or lower. The bed is high because it affords more clearance for flex and rock walls.

You could probably sit on a 10 and then fit a 30 size cooler. Just a thought.

I think Kass has a meeting sometime in Feb so I'm planning on tagging along for sure. Be good to hit a Thursday night meet and we need to restock on Cardiff Crack and a couple other SD staples. Living in Hooterville ain't easy. Now I know why Pa and Hop-Sing had to go to Carson City for supplies on a regular basis (60's TV Show Bonanza reference) @sdsurfer will get it.
