I've got this problem too....seems to all be down to the timing of the clicks. Just gotta put some more space between them.

I ordered mine yesterday. All I ordered was the PTS fob. If I want to add the app later, what is the process to do that? On the site it said "Back Ordered" for the app.

Installed mine today. Works great if I can get the timing down on my 3x button pushes.
I do have the TPMS light blink then solid but I didn't realize I needed to strip the insulation after the cut, thought that connector thingy had blades in it. I'll pull the lower dash back off tomorrow and fix. :headbang:

Just as some have mentioned @Bmuscari it’s timing. Your rhythm is off, too slow or too fast doesn’t work. 2 good presses followed by 1 off beat, won’t work. The reason it works when you press more than 3 times is because somewhere in those many presses, you’re getting 3 consecutive good ones. That’s ok too, if that’s what it takes, but it’s really not as hard as you think, you’re just not used to it yet :) but you will be. So to reiterate, if it starts even once, it works, it’s not the device ;)

@jayrobot I managed to make it work. If I do a 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand between each click it works. I didnt realize I had to wait that long. So as far as the alarm, that was probably my fault. I havent had the issue since. So it's up to you if you still want to send me the cable and do the reprogramming.

Ok I’ll hang tight with it packaged and labeled ready to go at any moment. If the alarm isn’t going off each time, it was probably something you might’ve inadvertently done...pretty soon you’ll stop counting, it comes natural to some, others will get it after trying it a few times. Nonetheless I’m on standby for you. Let me know. You’ve got my cell. You might’ve done set the alarm off by a combination for FOB and smart module app. You didn’t try opening the door did you after locking it? Or were you sitting in the vehicle when testing the remote start?

No. After multiple fails I just decided to keep hitting the lock on the fob to see what would happen. On push 8 it started and alarm went off. I definitely think it was my fault and just being too impatient. But thanks for the quick offer to help. I appreciate it.

Antoin, stop pounding energy drinks and coffee, your shakey hands don’t represent all of us young man! For the rest, it’s the “trembling hands of excitement syndrome” that will go away with time. A lot of people are over thinking this, there is no real timing or counting needed, just press away! If you get the smart phone app control module, you just need to aim for the right button, once, and I’ll put money on it you’ll never use your fob again...well some money. Some of you guys are stubborn I tell ya, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

    THE N2 GUARANTEE

If we dropped the ball, USPS beat up our product on the way to you, and something just doesn’t work (although we test), NO QUESTIONS ASKED, a new unit will head your way before you could blink. However, we won’t do that until we cover the install together on the phone because 8 out of 10 times, the user missed something and there is no need to wait for something new when what they have works. We’re not a typical company or corporation. We don’t wait for your old one to come and inspect it before we send a new one. WE TRUST YOULL SEND us your old one so we can dissect and analyze what happened, most of the time of it’s not USPS, it’s the user doing something and in small instances, us. So here goes for transparency:

Hundreds sold, and the statistics are this:

Out of the first 200 - 3% (6 units) were exchanged.

    - 2 of those were user faults, we didn't say or charge anything extra.
    - 2 of those were USPS rough handling.
    - 2 of those I dropped the ball somehow between post-testing and packaging. Units sent out are all tested, and only sent working, so how does this happen?

My QA/QC policy works like this:
    - An order is received
    - it is bin picked from the fresh unprogrammed shelves.
    - it is walked away to another station 15 feet away and it is NOT allowed to be set down until it is programmed. Meaning I cannot answer texts, calls, emails or take a coffee break at this step/station. The only way I can walk away or do anything else is after it is flashed, then walked over to the “to be tested on a vehicle” station/shelves another 15 ft away. Those waiting to be tested again cannot be handled unless they will be walked over even further to the test vehicle for installation and testing.
    - after tested it is walked over even further to a pre packaging station where it sits in YOUR box with YOUR INVOICE and name on it so there is no mix up.

The key here is, distances and walking so there are no mix ups. Does it happen and can it happen? Sure, but odds are slim. So if we say this happened to 2 out of 200 units shipped, were talking only 1% QA/QC issues. Look at ISO 9008 and so oncompanies, sure thier volume is more, but the proportion of mistakes allowed and considered good is a lot bigger than 1%. Ultimate goal is 0%.

Now ask anyone who’s had to deal with these scenarios how satisfied they were of resolution and promptness there of. If you don’t love me and my product at first, I’ll make you love me. No one has been turned away pissed or bitter, I won’t let it happen!

This only applies to TW, other online purchases are subject to inspection and a 25% restock fee if nothing is wrong with the unit. You guys should feel special :) ;)
