Naw, not even going to lift/mod it.
I needed something a bit more utility like as my folks are getting up in age.

The prerunner wasn't cutting it for heavy snow in the north and after the 5th gear assembly took a shit a while back, I just never felt right about the Challenger.

Just needed something safe so I could visit my folks more often and get out on a few trails.

Coincidently, I paid the same amount for both within about $200.
    $43k otd.

Traded in at the same dealer I ordered the Scat Pack thru back in 2016.
The GM is a good friend. Gave me a decent amt on the trade in plus came down on the jeep quite a bit for the end of the year clearance.

Had to drive my buddies for a couple days a while back, asked him what the f.

    "You have a bike?"
    Yeah, so?
    "Same shit, just Jeep."

Immediately felt bad for not repping his rig with a wave.

That's a real gas guzzler. This is my prior 2014 Grand Cherokee w/ same 3.6L 8 Speed combo driving from NJ through Maryland. I honestly don't know why I ever got rid of that thing. It was great.

Well, the GC is a bit more streamlined.
I'm not up on the 3.6. I know they had them in multiple vehicles. Didn't think the same motor went all the way back to 2014.
Didn't they redesigned it since then?

I honestly wouldn't know. I think they had cylinder deactivation or auto start / stop which I didn't have. I traded it for a cherokee trailhawk which was garbage and that was my last Jeep.

That's to bad on the trailhawk. My prerunner was in the shop for a few days and they gave me the 2.0t trailhawk that was on the camaro chassis?. I really liked that little suv.

It does have the "ess" that you can turn off but no cylinder deactivation as far as I know.
They do have that on the 6.4 liter, but only auto, not manual.

Surprised she couldn't drive it in the winter.
My scat pack loved the snow. 4300 lbs with traction control on, it glided right thru it.

She drove her 2010 in the winter when she first got it. She starts work at 6 am , alot of the time the plows aren't out at that time. The chin spoiler was plowing snow lol. She always drove my truck in the winter because I worked the pipeline and was gone all winter. I'm home now so she needed a winter vehicle. She has mentioned snow tires..... I said no. So we found her the 4runner and she is very pleased with the way it performs

Ahh, yes. I could see the issue with the chin spoiler in the snow.
I ran the Conti Extreme DWS (dry, wet, snow)
On my trips to northern Indiana during the winters. They performed great.

My wife had a 2011 Charger (3.6/8spd), that thing actually did really well in the snow here in Colorado as long as it didn't' get too deep. She wants to get another here in a couple years when the kids start outgrowing her Jetta.

When your wife says that she wants to get a challenger, a guy will move heaven and earth to make it happen lmao. All the while hoping that she doesn't see another car that she might like instead.
