Lowered the coils 3 turns so I’m at 8-9 threads. Haven’t tested them yet but definitely feels softer up front. All the bolts were tight. Gonna year them out this week. Yos making a clunking noise too?

No mine are not clunking and I’m at about 10-13 threads. Might lower it a bit once I get my new wheels.

I am running the extended travel coils with 650# springs. I've always assumed what i'm about to explain was due to the 650# springs creating tension and pushing downward. But i'd like to know if everyone else experiences this. When going over certain bumps, and def most bumps offroad, right after the bump, when the front suspension is "drooping" or extending, it makes a loud thump sound. It's been happening since i installed the suspension over a year ago. I tried to ignore it but it is pretty obnoxious. I am running sliders, skids, and a bumper. i plan to get a winch and get 700's eventually. Will this thumping noise increase or hit harder? Do you guys get this too?

    Lift and cap so far...
Sounds to me like you're topping out your suspension. This is because you have lifted the truck high enough that there is not enough down travel left in the suspension. If you lower the truck a bit this should go away

Ah the convo right before my post has a similar situation lol. And you're probably right. I mean i only went up 2-2.5" initially (i believe) i have now added quite a bit of weight and compensated for it each time i'm not even sure how much lift i have up front. I know the UCA used to hit the coil on full droop. But that was a matter of rotating the coil so it didnt touch. But i never even thought of lowering it. I just might have to do that :(

What kind of angles do most of you guys have on your cv axles? Or are they pretty much straight? With 2-3" of lift, we should all have some angles huh?

Here is a pic of my setup. Does this look like too much preload? Angles look good? It drives perfect. Only small vibration from 20-25mph and it does not go away on 4x4 but it doesn’t bother me much. I do have a carrier bearing spacer thing installed. Might take it off see if it helps but I doubt it since it’s vibrating up front if that makes a difference. I’m doing this on mobile. Hope it uploaded okay. 1st pic is driver side, 2nd is passenger and 3rd is driver side angles.

Looks just like mine. Angles. And mine too has a vibration around that speed, not sure on 4WD, as I haven’t activated it on pavement

Did you guys install the bushing yourselves? I'm wanting to do it but not sure if I would want to go through that pain. Im getting slight vibes at 40mph. I had the ome carrier bearing drop which I took off and vibes got a little better. Also have 3 degree shims on my dakars and that has definitely helped. I'm thinking the vibes I'm currently getting is from the bushing.

I had it installed in a shop, my understanding is that you need a proper tool.
Hmmm, even with the bushing I had a slight vibration at 40 mph as well... So in my case it's definitely not that. You can verify by flipping into 4x4, if vibration is still there, chances are it's not a bearing /bushing issue.

If you have yet, look into this thread for possible solutions Drive Shaft Vibrations Solved Step-by-Step

Debating on doing it since I'm not planning on lifting too much. But then again, I just dropped some coin on the Kings.

Mine was done sort of as a preventive measure. We figured since the truck is going to be on the lift already with his suspension taken apart, why not just do it. But, if it would not be be done back when everything else was being done , I wouldn't do it just "by it self" unless needle bearing would go bad. Hope that makes sense.

Edit. If your suspension hasn't been installed yet, and if you have tools or someone with tools doing the install for ya, then by all means have at it!

No tools or parts yet. Anyone selling their tool or can lend it to a bro for a few weeks?

Hey guys. Finally ordering my King suspension. The best deal I found was piecing it together different shops. I have the UCAs and front orders. Only thing left are the rears. I was just told by one shop that King is no longer making standard rears anymore and that they are only doing long and ext. Have you guys heard this too?

My fronts are standard. Would having EXT rears with Standard fronts be an issue?

I bought standard length rears (25001-121A) at the end of November from SDHQ.

Why did you get standard length fronts if you are doing aftermarket UCA's?
