with that box you have to cut off the tabs that stick out from the rear wall support because the box sits over them. they are welded on not bolted on as well.

Installed a warn m8-s in my shrockworks bumper last night. Sadly was not as easy as just bolting it all in, had to custom mount the contactor box in order to clear the core support.

I figured i would have to cut something, which i would rather not do. anyone know of a good premade box that only needs the plastic storage taken out?

Too nasty and cold here. All I could manage was to install No-Loss valve caps on both Tacos. I've used them on almost every 4wd I've owned...[IMG]

    CHEVERLY my service dog! Lol
I've been thinking about this same kind of thing for my DCLB as my service dog might enjoy that better on longer rides.

Had a small issue with my winch install and needed a extension for my controller cable. I finally found one on the US Offroad website for $34.95. Good price I thought until it came to shiping $28. I was told by a member on here they are a vendor and checked the vendor list and decided to send them a PM with no confidence they would respond. To my suprise early the next morning there was a response, they resolved the shipping issue, and provided a link to the corrected issue. Great customer service @usoffroad . They even continued correspondence and the item will be shipped tomorrow.

SAVE MONEY DOING IT THIS WAY. Hope this helps someone.....

Replaced all (3) u-joints and center carrier bearing today. Was pretty easy as long as you have the right tools.
Total Price for parts 170.73 Labor: $0.00 Toyota quote, around $1,100.00 Lowest shop price I found $600.00 plus parts.

    Required Parts:
U-joints (3) each $7.94 + $5.49 shipping. Spicer supplies Toyota.. These were on sale at Toyota for $86.00 dollars each.

Was doing a little TLC inside the Tacoma today.

Vacuumed the inside of the truck and was thinking----------------------------

While I have the vacuum out I decided to blow out the engine compartment specifically underneath the intake plenum just incase the critters decided to build a nest under it, nothing found. YEA.

Also blew out the inner fender wells from the door jam an also from the hood hinge area, clean , clean, clean.
No critter nests and no leaves.

I try to keep up with the TLC as the weather permits during the winter and at this point I'm winning.

After a year of owning and abusing my stock 2008 4x4 Reg Cab I finally got a 3” front, 2” rear lift and some 285x75r16 KM3’s. I took off the stock wheel fenders to give my truck more of a stance (2 of them were hanging on by a thread anyways.) Lastly I got rid of my bush guard and stock bumper and will be replacing it with a low-profile winch bumper tomorrow if the weather cooperates. By the way if anyone here has taken off their stock wheel fenders what’s a good way to fill the holes the clips leave? Ignore the photo caption I had to screenshot this from a video since I somehow managed to not take any photos. C92091E5-158F-4F1B-8D91-AAB7733F25D1.jpg
