Mountain biking is becoming an annoyingly expensive new hobby. Rode a friends bike, now I want wider/lighter handlebars, and it increased my want for an air fork up front. Can barely hop a curb on my rig cause its so freaking heavy up front, I had no issue doing bunny hops on his.

It was entertaining at first but the story line left a lot to be desired. I was pissed I never got to see the monsters. It was a lame movie and the challenge thats been going on makes those people look even less intelligent

I didnt investigate too long, just long enough to see some fool blindfold himself and his kids slamming one of them into a wall.

Im thinking a 760mm bar will work. I dont want it sooper wide but that will give me 5+" on what I have now. My frame is a Canondale aluminum F300 from like 2002. Cheap enough on craigslist and upgradeable. Weighed 27lbs when I got it, so a decent starting point for a 15 year old hardtail.

I wanted FS, but didnt wanna pay for one. The rockshox fork on there now is trash, may as well have no suspension. Tax return is gonna buy me a new Rockshox recon air fork. Should be a lot lighter too. Hard to find new forks that are decent quality for a 26" tire though. The recon is about all rockshox makes in that size.

My buds 29er felt weird. Kinda awkward. Then again his frame is only 17", kinda small for me. Mines 18.5" I think.

You running tubeless? My dad has them on his bike, rode a lot nicer. That was 15 years ago though and aparently that was the thing to have back then. The dude at REI made it sound like tubeless was out of style.

Haven't seen that Bird Box movie yet but apparently the house it was filmed at is in the town I live in (Monrovia) and people have been flocking to it and wandering around the street blindfolded taking selfies...Wtf

I like how his bike rides being tubeless, but if you get a puncture bigger than what the slime inside can heal up, youre screwed. Thats why Ill probably stick to tubes.

I mean if the Goonies house wasn't blocked off I would go do the Truffle Shuffle in front of it.
