    Thanks Darrick.

FYI, just to get back with the topic of the thread. I went with the OME lift w/spacer. In the end, I just want a complete 3" lift setup without spending much money and at the same time having it all work together correctly. In my situation, I'm sure it will be both form and function.

Ha, got all my OME lift and TC UCA's in hand. As soon as I get a free day in the weekend, lift is going on. I imagine 2 weeks at most, I'm so anxious.

Can't wait to see it. I'm going to buy the OME set up off of one of our locals here (Lucky SOB is going LT. :p) So I'm going to score his old shocks and coils for $400.

Any one ever hear of the OME kit having sagging issues over time?

Yup. They started scragging their springs after that to prevent it from happening on the newer springs. That being said, I have no idea when they started doing that.

For most of the people that own/will own the OME kit, does everyone go with the spacer or not? Ive heard all the bad things about a straight spacer lift but im still learning about lifts in general. can someone give me the rundown on the spacer that comes with the OME kit and if its necessary, etc.?

Here's a hypothetical question pertaining to an OME lift. If you had a 2nd gen Tacoma and were planning on getting a beefy aftermarket rear bumper only (stock front, maybe an Avid bar), what OME setup would you need to go with to achieve a 3" lift even front to rear?

    Just curious. Thanks.

Do you mean 3" in front and 3" in rear or 3" up front and the rear level?
Coils should give you 3". Use spacers and/or trim packers to adjust if you come up short.
By either removing the 3rd leaf or adding an available extra leaf, you can adjust the advertised/standard 2-3/4" lift, approx. 1/2" up or down.

I have a quick and possibly stupid question...I am looking to get the OME most likely and I was wondering about the springs. It says to get the 886 if you have a double cab and the 885 if not. I am looking for a smoother ride, but I also want to be competent offroad. What would be my best bet? Take into account that I don't have an offroad bumper, just a light bar up front. I don't plan on changing my front end anytme soon though either.

Not sure who "it" is, but here's the breakdown you are needing:

    884 for std/ access cabs
885 for dbl cab or for std/access with additional weight
886 for dbl cab with additional weight

an offroad bumper shouldn't necessarily bump you into the next weight bracket. If you were to add a winch or other accessory, then you would want to jump up.

I meant 3" up front and the rear level. My bad.

Thanks for the words. This truly is hypothetical for me as I still have yet to own a Tacoma. I did what you said in my head though . . . .
