thanks! both of those are my daughter's bikes. I sold all of mine. but I still ride with her, I don't mind riding a "girl" bike. hers is a Roubion and it rips! basically a Bronson with different colors. the other bike is a brand new Stumpjumper 29er ST. I am still undecided on that thing. it climbs like nobody's business, but it just isn't as rowdy on the descents.

I know guys who got good prices on Juliana’s and are happy to ride them. I don’t think SC even changes saddles, stems or suspension ... just the graphics and name. Funny, my wife wouldn’t even test ride one, though she did demo a 5010; she didn’t want a bike with another woman’s name on it. She rides a Ripley.

actually a lot of the Juliana and Santa Cruz stuff is different. the saddles on the Juliana are women specific for sure. and the suspension tunes are completely different. most people wouldn't think that but they are. I used to ride a Bronson and it was way different than her Roubion. I have to run hella air pressure in her rear shock just to keep from bottoming it out. the fork is not so bad, but even it is softer. my daughter is sponsored by Juliana, so if I bought a new bike I would probably get a new Roubion and paint the frame. but, I am not looking for a new bike at the moment. I don't get to ride as much as I did, thus the reason I sold my bikes.

I wonder if this is a more recent development. Four years ago when we bought our bikes, the shops said Juliana and SC were identical, unlike say Giant and Liv, or Trek’s women-specific models. Where and what series does your daughter race?

she races a lil bit of everything. she is actually going to college in August a year and half early (she is only 16) to race for King University. we are in NC but travel all over the place. she does mainly gravity events, downhill, enduro and dual slalom. but she races some XC now and then.

yeah the Juliana and SC bikes have been different for a few years now. they used to be restickered models of each other but thats not the case now. hers is actually a 2017 model, so they have been different at least that long.

Good to see some fellow Cali riders here! Cinderella is my go-to quick and dirty trail. I can imagine its pretty sloppy right about now with all the rain we have been getting.
The Mt. Diablo Castle rock EBRP loop is on my list of rides to do next.

    Nice Wreckoning by the way!

It's actually an Insurgent. That was on my morning ride on Saturday. I flew out to Georgia that afternoon and rode in almost 70 degree weather today. I don't think it's going to stop raining in NorCal for the next week and a half!

My bad. They look pretty similar so I always get them mixed up.
That sounds like a good time! Send some of those temps our way. I'm already sick of this rain. I want to get out and ride!

A few months back I took the truck to Southwestern Utah on its first road trip. Happy with the ride of the truck and bike.

I've got that same 5' CVT awning for sale if you're interested. I just don't use mine enough to justify it

Ah damn didnt realize it was the older model. If I didnt already have an M9 and a gambler I would scoop up a blue one. I love my smuggler...that thing can hit some shit for being a 4 inch bike.
