I give it to GMC for the innovation and try to expand usage of the tail gate, good stuff!

It's a Tacoma...just lift your leg a little higher. If you can't, get a car.

It's not just about the step. Watch the video. There are a few other functions that I would personally use frequently. Being able to take a step closer to the bed. Using it as a back stop whether flat or especially in the upright position. Again, not just the step feature.

My ‘15 Silverado LTZ that I traded in for my Tacoma had the bumperstep. Didn’t realize how much I used that thing until I got rid of it.

When I'm not climbing in, I use a 2 step aluminum ladder that I keep in the bed and it works every time!

I bought this step ladder at Menard's a couple weeks ago. Sure is handy.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
I will say that things I made fun of until I got older or lived specifically somewhere are as follows:

    1. Heated steering wheel - I lived in Texas for most of my life, I thought this was dumb. Went to Ohio during winter and had to wear gloves to drive it was so cold.
    2. AC Seats - Gimmick...unless you live in Texas. Leather + Texas = backsweat before you even sit down, much less ride for a while.
    3. Tailgate Step - Just bring a stool (more to carry), lift up your leg (young people). I thought this one was a silly addon until I started to get older and arthritis is starting to creep in.
    4. Headlights on a riding lawn mower - For the record, one of the greatest inventions ever. Mowing in the evening in Texas is always a better option. Seriously, this invention is right up there with Peanut Butter.

I gotta say, getting older this appeals to me somewhat.

I wish they made a telescoping type extension off the top of the tailgate. when you lower the tailgate, you get another foot and a half of bed length.

Watch the video on that tailgate. It has that.

Honestly it's the only tailgate I've seen that I think requires an instruction manual.

Looks to me like it's possible to drop it on your installed trailer hitch!
