10 euro says that tailgate rattles and squeaks like a bastard.

If not immediately then most definitely after a few thousand miles of washboard roads.

Awesome, an attack by a narrow minded individual who’s myopic views are the only way to interpret the world. I completely understand your limited perspective, you just can’t see mine. FYI, I choose definition variant 1b for purposes of this conversation.

GMC and Ford HAS to come up with luxurious and practical things like this to sell. They need to compensate due to their poor motor engineering, transmission problems, electrical gremlins and awful warranty and customer service... ask me how I know this or do I need to say more?:rofl:You can tell from their commercial how they degrade Toyota to sale their product, a low punch because their is no other way to do so unless they lie and pay "non actors/Real people" to commercialized their cars/trucks. All BS if you ask me. However, I do like the new tailgate!

Look I get it's Tacoma forum and all, and brand loyalty and all. I just want to comment on two things:

    1. Brandy loyalty is a one way street. Being fervently devoted to Toyota ensures they won't innovate. When my Tacoma couldn't tow 1500 lbs effortlessly while carring a child seat in the back while getting 20MPG on the highway for those 1400 mile round trips from TN to TX multiple times a year for family, I had to find something that had more room, more power, and better range (more so than MPG, just more range than a 20 gallon tank for towing). I take it all with a grain of salt because I'm not gonna drive a vehicle more than 100k miles. I have the income to do that, and the desire to try everything out. Hell, I might even make the mistake of owning a Jeep one day. I know it's a bad idea, but I mean....sometimes you just gotta make that mistake to know. I'm gonna be dead one day and so it's all just a cosmic joke anyways.
    2. That meme is funny and I will re-post that.

I don’t think any of the big 3 American truck makers are real worried about exceeding Toyota’s truck sales.

Ford hit over 900k last year, the Tundra barely squeezed out over 100k.

    I'm a Toyota guy but...numbers can't lie that bad. 900K to 100K.

That looks like a rust disaster waiting to happen.
And since its on a GMC/Chevy pretty sure thats whats going to happen.

If I were you I would not be lusting over that.

To be clear, I don't participate in any other forums for vehicles, and I pretty much only hang out with my friends on this forum for camping and wheeling. Toyota fans are my kinda people, and I've bought more Toyota's than anything else (3 Tacomas and currently still have my 4Runner which we love). But after owning a 3rd Gen Tacoma, I'd like to see Toyota pressured to make a more powerful powertrain.

Honestly they could have just stuck the 4Runner VVTI engine in the 3rd Gen and I'd have been happy, I love that thing in the 4Runner.

P.S. Getting off topic, I apologize guys. I'll back off. In summation, keep changing things up and we'll buy what we like and others will buy what they like.
