I hate the meeting request with no subject... Like it's a secret, for a week you don't know why you are getting called to the Principal's office!!

Was here yesterday. Drove an hour each way to shoot skeet in the morning and truck was blowing all over I-90. Shooting was fun, targets were dancing all over the place. But cold as hell. Agree with one of the guys shooting with who worked outside his whole life and said he would take 30 below zero and no wind over 20 above and 30 mph wind any day. Wind made smoking the ribs yesterday interesting also. Branches that broke off and hit my roof last night are staying there a few more months. Not getting up on the roof with ice and snow on it. Some pretty hard "thumps" when they landed last night though.

The temps are nice for this time of year, but rain. The rain should stop around noon-ish. The wind keeps blowing, that's good. The roads will dry before the temps drop.
The thing that sucks is all this rain falling on the snow covered ground has made part of the dog pen an ice rink. I have some bags of sand that I will spread out on the ice.

Had a boss once that was a bit bipolar. We had morning staff meetings on average of three times a week. At least one of those was just to blast us. Thing was that none of us could figure out what he was talking about or who's department it was directed at. After a while we all kinda became numb to it and it became something to joke about. Or we'd take bets on what nonsensical BS was coming next.

Same here, I've had a ton of different kinds of dogs over all my years, about 20 years ago we settled on the Corgi, best decision I ever made, all three were totally different personalities, having all three at the same time were called a herd!! My oldest and this one used to squabble sometimes, you'd think they were going to kill each other.. This little Hurricane rescue I nick named Forest Gump, he'd run for the Frisbee, grab it and keep freakin ruining to the other end of the pasture!! I'd have to go get it while he sat there looking at me like he was doing me a favor making me EXERCISE!! After we lost the other two older dogs this little guy settled down and became a really good companion dog..

Wife says we will have no more dogs, she wants to just load up and travel.. I want to stay home!!

Exactly. I live on the side of a ravine and been wanting to burn some boxes out back in the firepit. And haul some things to the storage shed. Even with the cleats on my boots not willing to risk that walk through the ice crust on the snow. More rain tomorrow in the forecast. Then temps drop to single digits, not looking forward to that mess either.

Friend of mine on the North Shore sent me this picture of the picnic area at ninemile lake yesterday.

They were supposed to get another 12-16" starting today. Now it is going to be sleet and rain, even there.
