Installed the Passenger side of the CBIOffroad ditch mounts => what a F@#$ing pain in the a$$!.

The main challenge was that the snorkel was already installed by the prior owner.
Then I had to unbolt it from the A pillar and reef on the fender to get the two 12MM bolts.
Then the hood mount came loose as I was placing the ditch light mount on top of the hood mount.
The supplied bolts were about 2x longer and a 13MM, as if it wasn't cramped enough.
Finally lined up one bolt finger tight and then the other.
Good thing I cut down to the inner edge of the supplied mounting hole for the ditch light or I would be doing it again.

Health isn't what it use to be so I've started PM on my 04 Tacoma. 175000 +/- miles. So far I've powdercoated the wheels, change coils, gas filter, plugs, fuel pump, fluids changed, new wipers, husky mats, new mudflaps, and installing new brakes. Some items were done early just as a precaution since I drive late at night sometimesF08AEC15-7F4A-4912-9B7B-CEB71A27D772.jpg6982F65C-2C2B-4E96-9754-1B7158BEE8C9.jpg 159FBE15-8EA2-4BD8-AC8B-21CAF68950A6.jpg

I had a ting after I did u-joints and carrier bearing. Did it going into reverse and first. Also sometimes was a faint, repeating ting-ting-ting while moving. Turned out to be one of the driveshaft weights!? A tiny bit of RTV on the edges of the weight and problem solved, no more ting.

No way to tell except check and see. I've had u-joints in the past with no movement in them at all making that noise, drove about 100 miles or so and it got much worse. Checked again no movement trying to turn with hands. Drove it some more and the third check it was very loose. Removed it to change universals and the carrier bearing was completely worn out. Replaced all and it was fixed.

Mine is a Century brand made in Elkhart Indiana. Came with my truck. You can see the clear and even base were pretty well gone. I sanded it down (final grit=1000 wet) to the original primer before repainting base/clear coat.

I'd slept well through the rain, earplugs doing their job to mute the noise of the drops on the tent. But they did little to soften that first clap of thunder. It wasn't until the next flash of lightning that I could count the delay - about 8 seconds - not too bad.

But then more lightning. And more. It was constant, as the wind continued to whip at the tent. And it was getting closer. 7 seconds. Then 5. Eventually, I could barely...

Truck sat out front for 2 days. First start big clunk. Just big klunks not turning over starter seems to be binding. Now just seems like the starter gear is spinning but not engaging. Anybody else have this happen to them? New starter? Any help would be appreciated thx.

Deep heavy metal clunking it would lock up/bind. It is getting power. Not battery or electrical. Now it just whirs kinda grindily. Praying just starter and not the performance flywheel
