One of my tires was low this morning, causing me to have to pull into a gas station and fill it with air. I'm about to lawyer up myself. Keep us posted.

So, I went to the dealer this morning for a recall. The coffee was too hot, the soda machine was out of ice, and the ICEE was too damn cold. I spent an hour walking around the lot while they molested my truck because Toyota used faulty parts. Now my feet hurt from walking too long, my head hurts from brain freeze due to the ICEE, and I wasted an hour that I could have been sitting on the exercise bike at the gym with a Starbucks latte in my hand. I am googling a lawyer right now.

I actually have this issue on my 2018. I’m a tech at BMW and I have seen the same issue about 5 years ago on some of those cars. It occurs when coasting towards a stop sign/light on the vehicle shifts back into 1st gear. The fix for that was a just a software update. Not really a big deal. I wonder if the OP has searched through the list of F150 recalls before he started shitting all over Toyota. I am a fan of ford trucks but they’re certainly not perfect.

OP has a legitimate complaint regarding a brand new vehicle.

There is a new post from a new 3rd gen owner describing a malfunctioning or poor functioning engine/transmission everyday on Reddit, TW, Facebook, YouTube or whatever social media platform.

In each instance and without hesitation, The Toyota defense force will ride in like the Mongolian Calvary to attack the complaining owner or belittle his complaint.

OP. read the consumer reports rating on the 2016- 2017 Tacoma.

Do you have any clue how many times people who were banned from here for whining keep coming back, actually taking the time to go through the new member process, make up a new email, just to talk the same shit? The answer is dozens just from the 3rd gen subforum. Smitty has been back at least 10X times just to talk shit. You think it's different on face book or Reddit?

Stuff it. The problem with this guy isn't what he is describing (downshift clunk), it's how he is handling himself. It's not surprising you are not seeing it. You act like a petulant child, you get treated like a petulant child.

I get the OP is extremely frustrated as it's a brand new vehicle. If it were mine, I'd be livid; this being my first new vehicle.

However, I'd bring it to the dealer and find out what the deal is, review the problem and recommended solution with the master tech. Given this is a transmission issue, I would want the internals inspected and software updated.

The OP gave into his anger and frustration. He sought to vent on this forum and got roasted. (Rightfully so due to adolescent behavior.) Go see the dealer and quit with the jibba-jabba! ;)
