I surely wouldnt pay that most places... especially here.

Well, its 'downtown' so I'm assuming its like a divided house/shack type of arrangement. It got posted on the local group thing and I laughed and cried at the same time. It was special

When you open it and the item doesnt match the picture.

Found some latches for the RTT that I think I can make work. But... looks like I'll have to try again.

So I'm still repairing my rear end from the new years night mystery (not really a mystery anymore). Big shoutout to whoever posted those taillights on craigslist. I ended up picking those up. Got everything pretty much buttoned back up except for the passenger side stupid plastic 3rd gen bumper cap where the parking sensor goes.

Anyone know the best place to find a replacement for that piece besides Toyota? I was thinking about just going to a full steel bumper, but my impulsive buy stage is over and RCI never emailed me back. Also don't think the wife is willing to part with BSM unfortunately.

There was this guy named Jake that used to post a lot on this forum... he posted something like that and then hes been missing for months now. My guess is he liked the mysteries. :burp:

I would think that if you drilled holes for the BSM in locations close to where they are stock.. it would work. My guess is no aftermarket company wants to be liable if you crash into something because you rely on those nannies to drive. But I'd think it should work as long as they are mounted in a similar fashion to stock.

Best bet, in my experience, is find the Part# for what you are looking for and then google it and see what deals are out there. Surprising, I have picked stuff up at local dealerships (from buying from them online) at a much reduced cost from walking in off the street. Camelback Toyota in AZ also seems to be very competitive.

:rofl:I got a DUI once when I was in my early 20s for running to my friends car to grab the beer pong cups and balls. Car was parked somewhat odd because his car would just shut off randomly and that night it did before he got to the parking spot so he left it somewhat cocked into the street. It was Jan. 18th and about -20 degrees outside, but I had shorts and a hoodie on because I had been in all night. Tried explaining to the cop that I was not driving and just grabbing some party supplies out of the car. Neighbors even came out and defended me yelling at the cop saying we had been home all night. It was -20 degrees and I was in shorts freezing my ass off and didn't have a chance in hell passing his walking/balance test. I blew over the limit too and he arrested me for being in a motor vehicle with the keys while drinking.

This was in PA and by PA law you go directly to the hospital and have blood drawn so they can measure your blood/alcohol content. To do this they took most of my top clothes off and noticed that a large majority of my body is burn scars. The cop asked me how that happened? Explained to him that I was a US Marine Vet and got the scars defending his freedom (I was somewhat upset as you can imagine). He kind of looked like he felt like an ass at that point, but didn't say anything to me and proceeded to take me to booking at the Sherifs office.

When they were booking me in he told them I was a Marine Crops Vet and to take it easy on me as I had been corporative with him. So instead of throwing me in the big drunk tank with the angry drunks for the night they put me in a different cell with another individual. I came to learn that individual was Carl and he was a regular at the drunk tank. Carl was a very nice (to me) 7ft tall black man that looked like he could crush me with one swing of his fist. Carl asked the deputies if he could go to the bathroom, but they refused him several times. Eventually Carl became very angry and pulled down his pants to reveal an impressive male member that I can only describe as a used and abused foot long elephant trunk that began to spray elephant piss all over our cell.

Thanks to Carl I vowed to never drink and drive that night. I think the moral of this story is that Jake needs a Carl in his life.

Also, in case anyone was confused by my mystery. I was not drinking and driving when this happened. It happened before the nights festivities. I live 2 blocks from several bars so I just walk if I am drinking.

Did the DUI stick? I'd get the most expensive lawyer ever and make them pay for it and for wasting my time.

In PA they have a program called ARD. Basically if you don't have anything on your record (which that arrest is the only thing ever on my record) you plead guilty and then go through this rehabilitation program and it gets expunged from your record after you complete drug and alcohol abuse classes, community service, and some other things.

The lawyer (cheap one) I had at the time recommended this to me. I was young and didn't have a lot of money just getting out of the military so I went that route. If I did it all over again I would of got a better lawyer. The good thing was 1 week after my court date I was set to go to Afghanistan for 2 1/2 years. My lawyer explained this to the judge and they dropped everything I had to do except for the classes, but they fast tracked me into some classes that week, knocked them out, paid a small fine and expunged the charge. All in all I think I paid about $1500, a night in the drunk tank, and some classes I had to take.

That's still messed up. I've never and will never drink and drive, and if something like that were to happen to me I would be beyond pissed off.

Yea I hear ya. I was 22 at the time. Had never been in trouble or needed a lawyer and started a new job with a TS clearance in Afghanistan for the US gubment a week later that I didn't want to mess up. I took my lawyers advise and ate the charge. I took advise from my Director of HR at the new job too as he said if the charge was being expunged that I did not have to tell anyone about it and risk losing my clearance. If I took it to court there was a good possibility I would of lost the job offer and my life would most likely be very different from right now.

I don't think I've done any planned ones, other than a few months ago over Kingston to black hawk and back over around midnight.

Why save it for summer when you can do it next week!
