I found out the other day that even the trans in an FRS/BRZ/86 is a Subaru part haha. It's a good thing those little shits are as anemic as they are that trans could grenade from a single mis-shift or banging gears for fun

Kirsten is wise beyond her years :) My roommate loves the idea of the FRS, so he rented one on Turo for a week. It was a 2019 TRD model. He was very dissapointed with it. Said it was painfully slow and the seats were econobox level uncomfortable. I remember your seats being decent so maybe that's a pro of the BRZ model. Either way now he's looking into a Kia Stinger, he met his hero and you know how that goes.

@Crow_of_judgement I think it's funny that because one of the mods (the usual suspect) is still taking the troll bait we aren't allowed to be skeptical in the tracker thread.

I'm far less at this point. But the mod has fallen in love it seems so we aren't allowed to mess with his boo

I don't get it, the whole point of buying older vehicles is they don't have any of those manipulative strings attached. Yours kinda makes sense cause I remember you said it was a decent chunk of change and you shopped the loan pretty hard too. But man a loan on a pre 2000 anything that isn't collectable, like what bank would finance that? Even if it was a pristine runner for 4k and you were lucky enough to have me as your loan officer I'd still turn you down because it's absurd.

yeah mine's kind of an odd case where the truck only had 24k miles on it, so it was going for top dollar. Nearly the same price as a new bare bones 3rd gen (4cyl) after taxes and fees. Anything $10k or under I would have straight paid cash, financing a loan for that little (relatively speaking) amount of money isn't typically a good idea. But everyone's situation is different so it's hard to say

I sorta had the same situation, financed/bought it myself of course since I'm well into my 30's lol, but I traded in my old Scion that my grandparents got me after college graduation to help me get started without having to make car payments. Which was incredibly helpful, but now I have a ~$175/month payment on a truck I beat the piss out of regularly...my grandfather loves to remind me of that haha.

I of course had no intention of doing to it the things I've done, back when I first got it...I wanted to keep it as close to stock as possible. But then I found this place, and well...yeah...

That hurts my soul. But you're making it work at least. I don't take on debt on things I can afford, and I don't purchase things I can't afford. The house will be the only time I make an exception, and it will also be the day im entirely sure I've settled into a job

The payments are why Ive kinda forgotten about doing any wheeling again. Went once, decided messing it up just wasnt worth it. Glad I tried it though. Maybe someday
