Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
The blowers for the 3.4ls were m62 units.. same size as the cobalt ss engines. The 4.0l had the m90 units. Same as the gm 3.8 series Ii engines.. m62 is borderline too small for a 3.4. M90 would of been better.

Start looking for an 03/04 ETCS-I transmission now, that’s the hardest piece of the puzzle haha.

In 2003 Toyota introduced the ETCS-i electronic throttle system on the Tacoma, eliminating the manual throttle system. When doing a 4x4 swap you must use an ETCS-i transmission or it will not work due to the electronic valve body. Most 03/04 guys swap the output shaft into their existing transmission.

I’m paraphrasing here. I just know that because of some new technology introduced with the ETCS-I system you can’t use non electronically throttle controlled transmissions.

03-04 tacoma A340E and F do not have a "kick down" cable that tells the transmission when to shift. If you look at a throttle body from a truck older than 03, you will see 2 cables attached.

My truck is an '03 with an A340F trans and has the kick down and throttle cables that attach to the throttle body.

Have you put in those Scion TC seats yet? I was just looking at pick and pull Oakland online and they look to have more.

Yeah I have them tacked in. Haven’t had a chance to finish welding them completely though.

    They’re damn comfortable.

Hell no. Drilling out the spotwelds and rivets and grinding the beads and doing the SAME thing on the Tacoma seats absolutely sucks. I actually broke one of the rails on the Scion seats doing this so I had to get another seat track.

If you can swing it, I still recommend racing seats with bolt in brackets.

Gah thats not what I was wanting to hear. I definitely dont have an extra $1000 laying around for corbeau seats. The re gear cleaned me out for expensive mods for a while.

If you’re patient then it’s not that bad. Be prepared to go through a lot of drill bits, I would even recommend a die grinder.

Did I miss the 4x4 write up in this thread? I'm seriously considering doing this with my truck

You didn’t miss a thing I’m still working on it. Haha. I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.
