hi all looking for a phone mount similar to the taco garage that has a qi chager incorporated. I would gladly do the wiring. Is this a thing? Can someone point me in the right direction

You mean an upright dash mount? Get a wired mount from proclip. They don't do Qi, but they do make mounts with integrated charge ports, which delivers much more juice to the phone. If your screen is lit with Waze and Pandora running, either Qi isn't maintaining the charge or your phone is getting toasty hot...

I'm guessing your talking about the DMM....https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ul-way-to-mount-anything-to-your-dash.553442/

you could use this Qi charger with it and you can run the wires behind the radio / through the DMM

    or this one

and then there's even a magnetic one

Thanx for the leads. I will look into it. Would like a minimal wire exposure

I made my own several years ago (for my Rubicon). Super glued a QI charging pad (looked for the thinnest one I could find) to a Ram Mounts X-Grip. I can’t understand why no one is making one commercially.

It receives a 17mm(IIRC). So, an adapter ball, 17mm on one side, and a 1inch on the other, and your golden.
