I got pulled over for that and the bulb wasn't even out..plus the cop was so nasty to me I thought for sure I was either going to jail or getting my ass kicked.

Could he fix it first, then start the test? Seems odd

Maybe if he noticed it, but he always scans the old sticker first then starts looking. Especially a minor detail like a plate light out, I'm not sure you'd notice until you start looking thoroughly.

I don't know the purpose of the rule, but the state says the vehicle must fail if it came in in a condition that wouldn't let it pass. Only after you put on a rejection sticker can you fix an issue and re-test.

Morning folks! We need to get some more snow on the ground up here so people remember how to drive in it. Saw two accidents on my way in to work this morning, and one of them happened live in front of me (single car pirouetting into a ditch while going around a corner). That's rather a lot for January, considering I only have a 15 minute commute and I did the whole trip in 2wd with zero problems.

Truth. There was an accident on 395 this morning that had traffic detoured through the center of Oxford with the highway closed. I travel in the opposite direction but it still slowed down my commute.

Picturing this happening gave me a good chuckle. Did you drive by and shake your head, or give them a tug out

I turned on my plow beacon and hazards, pulled over, and asked if they were all right. Guy already had his cell phone out to call a tow truck by the time I got to his window, and he mangled the passenger side of his car pretty good on the far side of the ditch so I left him there. Even if I pulled him out, he wasn't going anywhere without a tow truck, and stopped cars are less of an obstacle to traffic when they're all the way in the ditch
