Little more progress. Things are moving in the right direction now.

Rear is supposed to ship this week.

Looks good! Are you going to put bushings on the mount or are those the HDPE pucks from the BL? I would be worried that with the flatbed being more rigid than the fiberglass bed, any frame flex would be directly transferred to that and cause some type of binding. I'm probably overthinking because I've never built a flatbed or see how most people mount them to the frame.

    Thank you

Those are the pucks from th BL. I hadn’t given that any thought. Hmmm

My thinking was the bed would simply further stiffen the frame.

SAS would be the time to link it. I don’t see any reason to link the rear and add all Kinds of travel when the front has virtually NO travel lol.

I DID ask ECGS about adding a truss to the 60. I was thinking of the future. They want $900...

If it ever gets linked, I guess I’ll put a truss on myself.

The frame is boxed. I actually went back this time around and fully welded the boxing plates.

The rear crossmember is a 2x3 3/16” wall reinforced x that’s welded to those boxing plates.

Couple that (quite literally) with the flatbed being bolted to it, I can’t imagine flex being a problem?

OR... am I the one looking at it wrong?

I have a Hobart laying around that I’m not using. I may consider letting it go.
