Cell Phone Signal Booster?

Can anyone recommend a cell phone signal booster that actually works and doesn't break the bank? I see ones for $100-$300. I might spend $100 if it works but definitely nowhere near $300.

I've got Sprint my g/f has AT&T. Neither of us can get a signal in our apartment and its still marginal at best if we step outside. If I put my phone on the windowsill I can send texts about half the time. If the phone rings and I take it away from the window to go outside to take the call, the call is lost in the 20ft between the window and the front door.

 

Check out the Airave at Sprint.com. I have heard of people getting it for free from Sprint after complaining that they have poor coverage at home or place of business. I think that you also need to have a broadband internet connection as well for it to work. Also, I dont think it will work for AT&T phones. Hope this helps.

Verizon probably has better service in your area. That's what the case is here, but AT&T does fine for me.

 

They do...we both used to be on Verizon and we switched because their plans were a good bit more expensive. But we could talk in the apt.
