FWIW, @xtremewlr and I ran the majority of the first two sections this last weekend. I would call them easy with no 4x required. We got turned around trying to exit section 2 onto I10 and found some rough/muddy/steep terrain but we literally had to go out of our way to find that.

Just for the knowledge I also have a come-along, 2 snatch blocks, tree saver, 100ft of bull line, ARB twin in the cubby, and all the normal tools and accoutrements. I also hang axes as a hobby, so you will know where to find me at camp! Ha! I can hack a cord pretty quick. Super excited gentlemen!

PM me if you have any axes for sale. I’ve been looking for a good quality camp axe hung on hickory, but they don’t exist in the stores anymore.

As long as you don't drive into any holes at night

The wet weather made the trails a little more challenging but we still did the 2 sections in 2wd. I did engage the rear locker while in 2wd but only in Sec 2.

Maybe we get lucky and have some interesting weather like we did over New Years.

I did just finish another Council FSS Boys Camp Axe 2.5 lb on a nice hickory handle! Nothing beats a nice 3/4 axe! Chop's like a damn ginsu for wood! Used a blow torch to get a nice look on the handle. For some reason I love using a round stone/ puck and strop, something about hanging an axe, using it, and then grilling a 1.25" rib eye on the wood I just chopped. Rock salt....pepper.....flame...flip once.....in belly! makes me feel good inside! Ha! God I'm old!

Just bought a portable propane campfire for a Death Valley trip. I'll be bringing it on this trip as well.

14.5” diameter with folding legs. Pretty compact for what it is.

Not a good real world example, but put out a lot of heat in the garage. I'll be interested to see how well it does when it's in the 30's and how fast it goes through propane.

Do you use the large tanks with it on camping trips or the little green ones?

The large ones. For trips where I have to bring my own firewood this will actually take up less space than a couple bundles of firewood.

I’m about to get my CB radio and antenna installed. Think I could come out to Mesa for help with tuning? Or do you have a shop that you recommend?
