I guess since it's boxed and have a bigger better crossmember there should be very little flex in the rear frame rails and shouldn't create a problem. I still kind of think taking that BL puck and using an actual poly bushing would be better, but again there's a good chance your setup will work just fine without issues. This is all theory anyway, I guess you'll be the one to tell us whether we are right or wrong

Here's what I would do to further reinforce a thought one way or another; check a couple install instructions for companies that manufacture flatbeds and see how they mount them.

 

It would an easy “just in case” I suppose.

That’s a good thought. Checking instructions I mean. I’ll look into it tomorrow after I finish in the garage.

For now, seeing how I need to be up in less than five hours... I’ll sleep on it

Anyone in the South Jersey Area available to check this cap out, and possible store it for me for a little bit?

I don't have the time before our camping trip to install a rack system on it and with the RTT /softopper combo on I have no way to transport it either
