Nice, one of those old obsolete don't make em like they used to but still great kind of machines. They got replaced by wire edm.

 

The only LG product I own is a portable AC for my room. Thing has been working great for years now. I still call LG low grade though. Lol

 

Samsung is just as shitty

 

All my past LG stuff has been subpar, but it looks like it would be decent. I'm a Kitchen Aid man, Dacor if I can afford it though

Yeah I hear ya. I just don't like Korean products. But I prefer Samsung over LG. My past 3 cell phones were Samsung & so is our fridge. That blower fan used to ice up every year. Finally replaced the thermistor & it's been good.

 

I hate working on samsung dual evap fridges, because if that FF cover ices up you have to order a new one before you can even pull it off. And their ice maker design is garbage. You need to have ot resealed and everything in there replaceed

 

I don't think any of my kitchen aid stuff has exploded to my knowledge.

 

I had one of those iced up Samsung's. Used a hairdryer to thaw it so I could use it for another week before the landlords replacement Frigidaire (garbage feces) arrived

 

What about Thermador, Wolf, & sub Zero baller stuff? Wolf/Sub Zero is all my friend buys but he's got a hook up. Still crazy expensive though.

 

Teh samsungs are ass. The FF coil always doesn’t defrost and freezes over and the ice room isn’t sealed right and melts the ice which inter ices up everything in there

 

My neighbors had a subzero fridge, it was very nice but it makes sense cause it was built into the wall, I don't think I've seen a standalone subzero. Viking is another baller brand

 

Same shit underneath just more expensive to fix.

Yeah the first time I tried to take that cover off it wouldn't come off cause it was frozen on. I just waited till it melted enough, then got it off fine. Now I can get it off pretty easy. As soon as i hear the fan making noise from ice build up I take it off to de-ice it, I just bang on it in certain spots to crack the ice. After i replaced the thermistor it has been fine.

Yup our fridge has the crap ice maker too. Surprisingly it didn't start acting up for years. When it did i took it apart & removed some ice build up & it has been working great ever since. That was like 3 yrs ago.

 

Ive snapped those covers in half trying to remove them. Now when ever i get to one i just order a cover and re schedulez
Samsung released a re design and changed everything out. You also need to seal the compartment. It lets warm fridge air in.

 

Yeah my buddy knows a tech, that's how he gets all his stuff. Some of his stuff are refubs with no serial numbers. Heard that guys services a wide range of SoCal.

One of my other friends knows a bunch of them too, I helped put vinyl on their new fleet of work vans.

 

Sears works on some of that stuff. But the newer stuff we dont. They dont like sharing technical data, and hard to find parts for.

 

We did like 3 or 4 of these vans. Also did a bunch of private security cars too. lol

 

Just my microwave has... from lightning. Lol
